Saumya and her husband, Saurabh Devendra Singh had been blessed with a baby boy. Since then her social media account was flooded with wishes and blessings for her little bundle of joy. The actress asked her fans and followers to suggest a special name for her baby. And, guess what? She found one sent by her Singapore fan.

Recently, in interaction with Hindustan Times, Saumya revealed the name of her baby, and said, “Though, the name suggested by a lady from Singapore was Miran, it was a girl’s name so I added an extra ‘a’ to it. It’s a Persian word and means king of kings. Finally, we registered the name as Miraan Tandon Singh. Many suggested Shaurya as well which is a combination of my name and my husband’s name Saurabh. But I wanted a unique name so Miraan it is.” (Also Read: Vivian Dsena, After Alleged Breakup With Garima Jain, Says If Love Is In Destiny He Will Find It)

The actress further talked about the naming contest, she said, “Honestly, I didn’t think of having a contest on social media but it so happened that when my son was born, my husband and I were not prepared for the delivery. After a check-up, the doctor said that I had to be admitted immediately. Later, when I shared the news about the birth of my baby, everyone was asking about the name. And my reply was, ‘why don’t you suggest a name?”

In an interview, Saumya about her post-pregnancy work plan, she stated, “I know there will be a lot of questions about my work plan, but there is a place and right time for those answers, right now it is about celebrating and taking all your good wishes for me. Of course, I plan to continue working and acting as long as I live. Hate to give this explanation though, I don’t think being a mother makes any woman hold back her passion, dream or work, it only empowers her more. What I can assure everyone is that I will keep on trying to the raise the bar for myself and hopefully to not disappoint the viewers with my work.” (You May Also Like: Shoaib Ibrahim Reveals That He Tolerates Dipika Kakar's Anger And Here's How She Reacted)

Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Saumya talked about marriage and the right time to do it. The actress stated, “There is no right age to get married. One should tie the knot when you find the right life partner, which can happen at any age. I do not recommend marrying just for the sake of it, or because of parental or peer pressure. A marriage is between two people and they are the best ones to decide whether they are ready to settle down and mature enough to handle each other’s responsibility.” (Don't Miss: Sara Khan And Ankit Gera Reveal The Real Truth Behind Their Wedding Rumours Doing The Rounds)
