Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding soiree has been the talk of the world, with famous personalities like Rihanna, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and many more, marking the presence. For the third day of the pre-wedding soiree, the family hosted a Hastakshar ceremony for the soon-to-be-married couple, wherein they signed the wedding papers and the dress code for the same for the heritage ensemble. While every celebrity looked their best, it was Sara Ali Khan, who raided her badi amma, Sharmila Tagore's closet and picked a beautiful ensemble.
For the pre-wedding soiree, Saif Ali Khan took his entire family with him including his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan and their kids, Jehangir Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan. His children from ex-wife, Amrita Singh also made a striking appearance. For the final day, Sara donned a zardosi border suit featuring a short anarkali kurta with a churidaar. Sharing the photos, Sara thanked her badi amma for letting her wear the prettiest outfit, which was re-invented by Manish Malhotra.

Sara accentuated her look with a statement chandbalis and a maang teeka. She gave out retro vibes with her subtle makeup, glossy lips, and hair tied at the back in a braid. Alongside the photos, Sara wrote:
"Thank you Badi Amma for the loveliest traditional Zardosi gold border Everyone knows she’s the epitome of grace and royalty- everyone always adored her Thank you @manishmalhotraworld @manishmalhotra05 for recreating this style, adding your sparkle and giving it order."
When Sharmila Tagore made an appearance on Amitabh Bachchan's show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, she expressed her displeasure at Sara Ali Khan for taking away her classy wedding earrings which was given to her mother, Amrita Singh when Ibrahim Ali Khan was born. On the show, Sharmial state that the earrings was a family legacy, and it should have been in possession of Ibrahim's future wife, but someone had taken them. Amitabh Bachchan quickly guessed that it must have been Sara Ali Khan to which Sharmila nodded. She said:
"When Ibrahim was born, I gave my earrings, which I wore for my wedding, to Amrita as that when Ibrahim grows up, it will be for his wife. Guess who has taken it?"
Sara shares a loving bond with her grandmother, Sharmila. She has, time and again, called her an epitome of grace and she wants to be just like her. Earlier, in an interview on a live show on Roposo, Sara Ali Khan was asked about her thoughts on playing her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore in a biopic. To this, Sara immediately said her grandmother is very graceful, and she doesn't think she has it in her.
