In the times of COVID-19, it has become even harder for moms to keep their kids entertained. The pandemic has ruined the fun for the babies as they are deprived of going to schools or take a walk in the open. We are trying to adapt the 'new normal' where handshakes are considered unsafe, and hugs are a distant dream. Amidst the pandemic, keeping the little ones engaged and active is the most difficult task. But every mother is trying her best and making her kids learn the simple lessons of life at home. And ace tennis player, Sania Mirza is a perfect example of it. (Recommend Read: Amitabh Bachchan's Grandson, Agastya Nanda To Make His Bollywood Debut, Is Looking Over Offers)
The doting mommy, Sania Mirza is balancing tennis practices and also makes sure to spend an equal amount of time with her little munchkin, Izhaan Mirza Malik. We remember how within just four months of giving birth to her baby boy, Sania was back in the tennis court and had played her first informal match. In the lockdown, Sania had given us a glimpse of how she manages her workout with her 'clingy' baby, Izhaan.
On July 10, 2020, we got hold of the latest picture of her baby boy, Izhaan, posted on his Instagram handle. In the picture, we can the little boy looking gorgeous in a white kurta-pyjama and showing off his big and bright smile as he got ready for jumma. The picture was captioned as " Mumma said I can reach for the stars, for now, I’ll just hold the moon. Ps: Jumma Mubarak." Sania also took to her IG handle and shared her munchkin's cute picture as her Instagram story and wished her fans 'Jumma Mubarak'. Check it out below:
A couple of weeks ago, Sania had posted a hilarious video of her conversation with her son. In the video, we could see Sania asking her son, Izhaan the characteristics of the names she was taking. So, she had started with a dog, to which, Izhaan had said, "Bow, bow bow''. Following which, she had asked him what does Asad khalu (Anam Mirza's husband and Mohammad Azharuddin's son) do, to which the boy had responded by showing the sign of a boundary. Sania had also asked him "What does Baba (Shoaib Malik) do?" and Izhaan had shown the 'six' sign. The funny video was captioned as "Asad khaalu hits a 4 but Baba hits a 6. He might be a bit biased." In an interview with the Indian Express, Sania had shared how their family are living away from each other due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She had shared that her husband, Shoaib had gotten stuck in Pakistan, and she got stuck here. It was difficult for them to deal with it as Izhaan is still small and they don't know when he will be able to see his father again. She had further added, "We are both pretty positive and practical people. He has a mother who is over 65 and by herself, so he needs to be there. So in the end, it worked out best that he was there with her. We hope we are healthy and come out of this on the right side of it." Sania also talked about her son, Izhaan and keeping him away from the virus. She had said, "I don’t have anxiety problems but a couple of nights ago, I was having anxiety out of nothing. I was lying in bed and thinking of things because there’s so much uncertainty. Having a toddler in the house, you don’t know how to protect yourself, how to protect your child, you have parents who are older. So, you are not really thinking about work or tennis."
