The entire world has put on the mask, not just metaphorically but literally, because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Everyone is forced to stay inside their homes and with the infection toll rising every hour. We are now trying to adapt to the new normal where handshakes are considered bad, you have to sanitize your hands every 5-minutes and maintain a distance of at least 10 ft. Amidst the pandemic, keeping the kids at home entertained is the most difficult task. But ace tennis player, Sania Mirza is making sure to keep her son happy, healthy and entertained in these gloomy times. It was October 30, 2018, Sania Mirza and her husband, Shoaib Malik were blessed with a baby boy, whom they had named, Izhaan Mirza Malik. Currently, the entire world is anxious because of the pandemic-induced lockdown and Sania is no different. However, she tries hard to stay calm and make her lockdown days useful. She is a hands-on mommy and often shares snippets of her baby, Izhaan Mirza Malik's life on his Instagram handle.
On May 28, 2020, Sania took to her son's Instagram handle and posted a picture of one of his gimmicks. The little boy decided to try his hands on painting and woke up his inner Picasso, but it didn't turn out the way he wanted. In the picture, we can see little Izhaan looking adorable as he posed for the camera with paint all over his legs. The post was captioned as "So I decided to be Picasso today. It didn’t really turn out as I had planned." Check it out below:
For those who don't know, Sania is away from her husband, Shoaib Malik. While she is at her parent's house in Hyderabad, India, her husband, Shoaib is in Sialkot, Pakistan. In an interview with the Indian Express, Sania had shared, "So he got stuck in Pakistan, I got stuck here. That was very difficult to deal with because we have a small child. We don’t know when Izhaan will be able to see his father again. It’s as basic as that." She had further shared, "We are both pretty positive and practical people. He has a mother who is over 65 and by herself, so he needs to be there. So in the end, it worked out best that he was there with her. We hope we are healthy and come out of this on the right side of it." Sania also talked about her son, Izhaan and keeping him away from the virus. She said, "I don’t have anxiety problems but a couple of nights ago, I was having anxiety out of nothing. I was lying in bed and thinking of things because there’s so much uncertainty. Having a toddler in the house, you don’t know how to protect yourself, how to protect your child, you have parents who are older. So, you are not really thinking about work or tennis."
