Indian tennis sensation, Sania Mirza tied the knot with Shoaib Malik in 2010, and the couple embraced parenthood with the arrival of their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018. However, rumours about Shoaib and Sania having problems in their marriage and heading for divorce started circulating in 2022. Finally, on January 20, 2024, Shoaib announced his third wedding to Pakistani actress, Sana Javed, leaving the entire nation shocked.
On February 9, 2024, Sania Mirza was spotted in the city as she arrived for an event. The diva looked stunning in a red-hued midi dress, which featured leafy patterns on it. Keeping her tresses open, Sania completed her look with a sleek necklace and dangling earrings. She happily posed for the lens and flaunted her brightest smile. Though it was Sania's first public appearance after Shoaib Malik's wedding, she exuded the same grace and poise as before.

However, it was after Shoaib's wedding with Sana Javed that the Mirza family broke their silence for the first time. On January 21, 2024, Sania's sister, Anam Mirza, shared a picture note on Instagram and mentioned how Sania always kept her personal life under wraps. Anam further revealed that Sania got separated from Shoaib a few months back, and requested privacy from fans during this sensitive time on her behalf.

For the unversed, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik lived in Dubai, and their son, Izhaan, was also enrolled in a school there. However, after Shoaib's third marriage, Sania and Izhaan had to come back to India. Recently, in a telephonic conversation with Pakistani journalist, Naeem Hanif, Sania revealed how her 5-year-old son, Izhaan, is mentally disturbed as he was being bullied by the kids in his school who kept on asking him about his father's third marriage. Thus, Izhaan completely stopped going to school, and Sania had to bring him to India as he no longer wanted to stay in Dubai. The diva added that though she has adjusted to the situation, her son would need time to do the same.
