Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik, who was previously married to Indian Tennis player, Sania Mirza, announced his wedding to Sana Javed on October 20, 2024. The news sent shockwaves across the nation and left everyone in a frenzy. Amid all this, Sania's father revealed that his daughter took a khula from Shoaib, which means she unilaterally divorced him. For the unversed, Sania and Shoaib are blessed with a son named Izhaan Mirza Malik.
If multiple reports are to be believed, Sania Mirza was tired of Shoaib Malik's extramarital affairs, so she parted ways with him. According to a report by The Pakistan Daily, Shoaib Malik's sisters expressed their feelings about his separation and revealed that the family did not attend his nikah. The report further claimed that Sania was unhappy with Shoaib's roving eyes, and she couldn't take it any longer.

As Shoaib Malik announced his wedding on X, netizens flooded the post's comment section to support his ex-wife, Sania Mirza. Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Can I just say Sania Mirza was always too good for him?” Another penned, “I no longer believe in love marriage. Think what Sania Mirza must be going through. Allah should have given you better than him. What happened was good.” Another netizen wrote, “Sania Mirza congratulating Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed on their marriage and taking "khula". However, it was after Shoaib's wedding with Sana Javed that the Mirza family broke their silence for the first time. On January 21, 2024, Sania's sister, Anam Mirza, shared a picture note on Instagram and mentioned how Sania always kept her personal life under wraps. Anam further revealed that Sania got separated from Shoaib a few months back, and requested privacy from fans during this sensitive time on her behalf.
