Indian tennis player, Sania Mirza has been in the headlines ever since her ex-husband, Shoaib Malik, publicly announced his third marriage. The Pakistani cricketer took to his Instagram account to reveal that he got married to Lollywood actress, Sana Javed on January 20, 2024. Right after Shoaib’s post, Sania disclosed to the public that they got divorced a few months ago. Off lately, the Indian tennis legend has been sharing inspirational posts and has also been receiving much love and support from both Indians and Pakistanis.
Recently, Sania took to her Instagram account to share a post on ‘Sabr’ (patience). She reshared the original post uploaded by a blogger named Thee Deen Girl, on her IG stories. The post detailed the meaning of patience or ‘sabr’, which emphasised the strength it takes to smile against all odds and forgive people who have been cruel. The post can be read as:
“Sabr is smiling at people despite all the hurting inside you. Sabr is when tears come rushing down your eyes and wiping it off before anyone notices it. Sabr is forgiving people that are cruel to you. Sabr is having full Imaan in Allah that everything will workout. Sabr is trusting Allah’s plan.”

A few days before this inspirational quote, Sania shared an appreciation post for her sister, Anam Mirza. The tennis player posted a few mirror selfies alongside her sister. In the first picture, the two looked chic in their ensembles. While Sania wore a pink-hued kurta paired with white pants, Anam, on the other hand, donned a printed tiered long dress. In the next glimpse, Sania and Anam posed for a picture inside a car. In the last photo of the carousel, the duo, who were in loungewear, posed for a selfie inside a plane. Sania captioned her post as:
“Sister appreciation post: To my rock, Ride or die. Best friend. Confidant. Healer. Problem solver. I love you.”

On February 4, 2024, the Indian tennis legend slipped into a Rs 58K printed kaftan set from the shelves of Mrunalini Rao. She uploaded a few pictures in the same ensemble on her Instagram account. Sania’s outfit comprised of a paisley-printed kurta in multiple colours featuring applique zardozi embroidered neckline and cuffs, and straight silk pants in the same pattern. Sania accessorised her look with a pair of pearl danglers, a watch, bracelets, a green bag and a pair of nude heels. She opted for blushed cheeks, smokey eyes, pink lips and a sleek bun to complete her overall look. Apart from her glamorous and sober look, Sania’s caption for the carousel post caught our attention. She captioned her post as:
“Chin up princess, or your crown slips.”
