Due to the ongoing pandemic, many people are stuck where they're and are missing being with their families. While some couples are making the most of their time together during the lockdown, some are making the long-distance relationship work as they aren't with each other. Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik are lucky to be with their respective families in Hyderabad and Pakistan, but away from each other. But more than the thought of being with each other, Sania and Shoaib were concerned when will their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, who is staying with his amma, will be able to meet his baba. But finally, looks like the reunion isn't far for Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik and Izhaan Mirza Malik. It has been more than five months since Sania and Izhaan have met Shoaib in person. And now that the travel guidelines and restrictions have been eased, Shoaib is given clearance by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to join his teammates for the Test series in England on July 24, almost a month later than his teammates. Before we reveal more details on the same, let's give a glimpse of Sania and Shoaib's virtual date.
On Shoaib Malik's IG live session with wife, Sania Mirza, they have spilt some beans on their relationship, married life and their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik. When Shoaib asked Sania if she wants one or more kids, Sania replied, "Two, maybe. Even though you prefer one." To which, Shoaib probed, "Why not 5,6,7,8,9, 10?" Sania retorted, "Cricket team nahi banani. Aur bhi kaam hai." Sania and Shoaib's little bundle of joy, Izhaan Mirza Malik too, delighted everyone a few times when he came in front of the camera to say hi to his baba and their fans.
To mark their 10th wedding anniversary on April 12, 2020, Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza had posted heartfelt wishes for each other on social media. While Shoaib had captioned their couple picture as "Happy 10th anniversary @mirzasaniar #alhumdullilah", Sania had posted expectation v/s reality pictures and had captioned them as "Happy Anniversary @realshoaibmalik A decade of being married looks like this!! Speaking of Shoaib Malik being granted permission to visit his wife, Sania Mirza and son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan had said in a PCB media release, "Unlike the rest of us, Shoaib Malik has not seen his immediate family for nearly five months due to his commitments and the subsequent international travel bans following the COVID-19 pandemic. As travel restrictions are now slowly easing out and there is an opportunity for a family reunion, it is appropriate that at a human level we show compassion as part of our duty of care and respect Shoaib's request. We have spoken with the England and Wales Cricket Board who understand the situation and have agreed to make an exception by helping Shoaib enter the country on July 24. Of course, Shoaib will follow the UK government's policies on visitors entering the country before integrating with the side."
