It seems that celebs have taken a pledge this year to surprise all their fans by tying the knot secretly. After Kavita Kaushik, Panchi Bora and Mandana Karimi, another television celeb who had recently tied the knot is none other than, Jamai Raja fame actor, Sandit Tiwari.

The actor got engaged in a close-knit ceremony in January this year, and took the wedding vows on May 8, 2017 with his fiancé Priyankona Das, who happens to be a software professional. They dated for almost six long years before taking the plunge and kept their relation a secret all this while.

Talking about his love story, the actor in an interview with a leading daily, was quoted as saying:
"I fell in love with her, while we were working together in a corporate firm. After a six-year-long courtship, we decided to take our relationship to the next level."
When he was asked that the reason behind keeping his relationship under the wraps, he said:
"I am not the one who goes and paints the town red. Although I am romantic, I cannot shout from the rooftops and proclaim that I am in a relationship. I am shy and prefer to keep my personal life private."
On being asked about his real life wedding and how it feels like, he stated:
"Till now I have got married 13 times on screen, so the D-day of my life felt surreal,"

Sandit belongs to Chattisgarh and Priyankona is a Bengali, their wedding was done keeping in mind the rites and rituals of both the communities. And as far as their wedding attires are talked about, groom wore the conventional Bengali topor, a conical headgear and Priyankona sported a traditional pink coloured saree in one of the two ceremonies.
