Sanchita Ugale's Suicide, Ujjwal Sharma 'Threatened To Hit Her'? Friend Makes Shocking Allegations

Kumkum Bhagya fame, Sanchita Ugale's death left the Indian television industry heartbroken. The actress reportedly died at her home in Aachole Village, Nalasopara East, following an alleged suicide on June 15, 2026. Her untimely demise made her fans wonder what might have gone wrong that led her to take such a drastic step. Notably, just hours before her passing, she shared a lively Instagram reel, leaving no clue regarding the tragedy that was to follow. Amid the looming question of why she took the drastic step, her friend made some explosive allegations of harrasment against Sanchita's co-star, Ujjwal Sharma.

What allegations did Sanchita Ugale's friend levy against Ujjwal Sharma?

Sanchita Ugale's sudden death has brought forth several unanswered questions. Amid the investigation into the circumstances leading to her death, her close friend and Pushpa Impossible actress, Indraxi Kanjilal, levied serious allegations against actor, Ujjwal Sharma. For the unversed, Ujjwal played Sanchita's on-screen partner in the TV serial, Saajan Ghar. Coming to Indraxi's accusations, she claimed in an interview with TellyChakkar that Ujjwal financially extorted and mentally harassed Sanchita.

According to Indraxi, Ujjwal borrowed some money from Sanchita, and his attitude towards her changed when she wanted it back. He was allegedly extremely rude towards his co-star and a once rumoured link-up, Sanchita. Indraxi further claimed that he "lashed out, humiliated her, and even threatened to hit her." As per Sanchita, Ujjwal even verbally abused Sanchita and sent her messages using inappropriate language. She also claimed to have obtained screenshots of those texts, which she shared with TellyChakkar. Indraxi was quoted as saying:

"Ujjwal had apparently borrowed money from Sanchita and later behaved rudely with her. When she asked him to return the money, he lashed out, humiliated her, and even threatened to hit her. I have screenshots of their chats where he used inappropriate language and insulted her."

In the screenshot, shared by Indraxi Kanjlal, an alleged conversation between Sanchita and Ujjwal was contained. In the messages, he was seen calling Sanchita "chapri" (cringe-worthy) after paying her Rs. 3000. He even allegedly wrote that she didn't care about her parents, and was no one's real friend or acquaintance. He also alleged that he had to stoop very low to reach her level of abusive language. According to the texts, he asked her not to bother him anymore (probably about repayment of money), or else he would break her jaw.

Sanchita Ugale's complaints against Ujjwal Sharma were allegedly ignored

As per Indraxi, Sanchita went to the Saajan Ghar's heads to raise a complaint regarding financial extortion, mental harassment, and physical intimidation by Ujjwal Sharma. However, they allegedly paid no heed to her, leaving her with no choice but to quit the show. Even her brother echoed similar sentiments, sharing in recent interviews that his sister faced workplace harrasment and endured immense pressure in the final phase of her life. Indraxi's exact words regarding Sanchita's complaints against the harrasment were:

"Sanchita did complain about the harassment and everything she was going through to the concerned heads. However, she eventually realised that nothing was going to change, which is why she decided to walk away from the show."

How did Sanchita Ugale die?

Sanchita Ugale's untimely passing shocked the entertainment industry and her fans. Local police have initiated an investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding her sudden demise. As per Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh of Achole Police Station, Sanchita had locked herself inside the bedroom of her residence in Sai Santoshi Building and allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan using a saree between 7 pm and 7:30 pm. Her family members and residents then rushed her to Mumbai's Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
