Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleSamay Raina has officially returned with a Season 2 of India's Got Latent. The first episode dropped on June 20, 2026, and it featured Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. The two stars were promoting their upcoming film, Alpha, which is set to release on July 3, 2026. During the same, stand-up comedian, Samay Raina took a dig at Alia Bhatt's film, Jigra. Further, he also addressed the rumours of the actress being ignored at Cannes Festival 2026.
Soon after Samay Raina introduced Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh as the panelist, the stand-up comedian said, "Alia Ji, first of all, I can’t believe you’re here." To which the Raazi actress replied, "Yeah, I’m kind of regretting it right now." Samay then, without missing a beat, roasted her and stated, "Maine bhi kiya tha Jigra dekh ke regret." For the unversed, Jigra is Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's movie.

However, it is worth mentioning that Samay Raina did not stop there. He further spoke about Alia Bhatt’s appearance at Cannes Festival 2026. During the festival, Alia Bhatt faced backlash, as netizens felt that she was heavily ignored by the paparazzi there. Addressing the same, Samay Raina said, "Kahan Cannes, kahan Latent. But here, the camera is on you." On the other hand, Aliaa Bhatt sportingly took the jokes on herself and explained, "No, no. Samay genuinely, I think we can all say this with absolute clarity and be so grateful for all the laughs that we’ve had thanks to Kapil Sharma."

Weeks ago, Alia Bhatt attended the Cannes Festival 2026 as the brand ambassador for L'Oréal Paris. Even though she managed to win a lot of hearts with her amazing outfits, some users slammed her for being ignored at the red-carpet. At that time, a clip of the actress went viral, in which she can be seen posing confidently; however, the photographers are focusing on other celebrities. One user commented, "Ignored by Cannes cameraman." Another user stated, "Nobody knows her at the carpet." Later, Alia gave a befitting reply and said, "Why pity love? You noticed me." Her mother, Soni Razdan also defended her.

In early 2025, Samay Raina faced a major setback in his career. Despite earning crores of views on every episode of India’s Got Latent, the comedian was forced to take down all the episodes, after he faced three FIR’s. For the unversed, it all began after the appearance of Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani on the show. Ranveer’s one joke did not sit well with the audience and media, which led to a major legal case. After the controversy, Samay Raina took a break from social media. It was a few weeks ago, when he made a powerful comeback with his special named Still Alive.
