Samantha Ruth Prabhu Officially Announces Pregnancy With Raj Nidimoru, 'Going On Maternity Leave'

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, are all set to welcome their first child. It has been the most important dream of Samantha to embrace motherhood, and her fans have known it since the beginning, but her life took a turn when her first marriage fell apart. However, God bestowed her with a loving partner in Raj, and they are all ready to hop on the parenthood journey.

Samantha and Raj are all ready for their little bundle of joy. Recently, at a press event, Samantha officially announced her pregnancy. She ditched the usual pregnancy announcements shared on Instagram and revealed that she is going to be a mother during the press interaction while celebrating the success of her film, Maa Inti Bangaaram. Samantha shared that she has to take maternity leave because of her pregnancy and will come back to do more films, and then she will be back with another film for her fans. She said:

"I will have to take a small break after Maa Inti Bangaaram because of my condition. I will come back to do films. I'm taking maternity leave. Then I will come back with another film for my fans."

Netizens flooded the comment section, one user wrote, "Funnily enough we still don't know whether Raj is even divorced from his ex-wife or not. The supposed "2022 divorce" was clearly BS that nobody believes." A second user wrote, "Good for her. She always wanted to have a family. I guess it’s right time for her."

Samantha Ruth Prabhu's pregnancy reports surfaced during the promotions of her recent film. Later, Samantha debuted her cutesy baby bump while celebrating the success of her recently-released film with her husband, Raj Nidimoru. She looked gorgeous in a pastel blue-hued t-shirt. Later, a source close to Samantha told SCREEN that she is in her first trimester and that the couple are extremely happy, especially the mom-to-be. The source said:

"Samantha is in her first trimester, and the couple is very happy about it, especially Samantha, who always wanted to become a mother."

Talking about Samantha's pregnancy in her late 30s surprised many. As per her, motherhood is the most beautiful experience. She once stated that it is never too late, and she dreamt of being a mother and would love to be a mother. She was quoted as saying:

"I don't think it's too late. I still have dreams of being a mother and, yeah, of course, I would love to be a mother. I have always wanted to be a mother; it's quite a beautiful experience. I am looking forward to it. People often worry about age, but I think there is no time in life when you cannot be a mother."

For those who don't know, Raj and Samantha got married in December 2025 in an intimate ceremony at the Linga Bhairavai temple, as the latter has a deep belief in Sadhguru's teachings. Talking about their love stories, the couple met each other while working on The Family Man 2. And their relationship deepened during their work on Citadel: Honey Bunny. 

As per reports, when Samantha was in her lowest phase and dealing with the ugly divorce from her first husband, Naga Chaitanya, Raj Nidimoru became her pillar of strength. He was even with her when she was diagnosed with myositis, and soon their friendship turned into love.
