And now, Samantha dropped a glimpse from her recent visit to Golden Temple in Vellore amid her break from acting. For the unversed, Samantha was diagnosed with an auto-immune condition called Myositis, and her break from films is to ensure that she recovers totally from it.
On July 15, 2023, Samantha Ruth Prabhu visited Golden Temple in Vellore to seek blessings amid her break from acting. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress dropped a series of glimpses from her day out, and it simply looked adorable. In one of the pictures, the actress can be seen taking a selfie with her friend, and film producer, Jagadish Palanisamy. However, it was her desi look that caught our attention. In the picture, Samantha looked beautiful as she donned an orange-coloured kurta that featured sequin and embroidery work. She teamed it with a matching-hued dupatta, classy glasses, dewy makeup and a loosely-tied hairdo.

In the next story, Samantha gave us a glimpse of the Golden Temple, which was surrounded by lush green trees. The actress even shared a video of her road trip. In the video, she can be seen enjoying the weather while listening to old Tamil songs.
It was on July 13, 2023, when Samantha opened up about her break from acting for the first time. Taking to her IG handle, she shared a picture of herself, along with the filmmaker duo, Raj and DK as well as screenwriter Sita Menon. In the picture, they all looked happy as they posed for the camera. However, it was the caption to the post that caught our attention. Samantha penned a short note and addressed her sabbatical from acting. Her note could be read as:
"A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me... I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud... Thank you for the role of a lifetime... i.e until you write me the next."

For the unversed, it was on October 29, 2022, when Samantha had opened up about being diagnosed with Myositis. Taking to her IG handle, she dropped a picture of herself from the hospital and penned a long note about her unheard battle with her auto-immune condition. In her note, the actress shared how she was not able to celebrate the happiness and love that she got for her then-un-released film, Yashodha since her health had gone down drastically.
