Recently, Samantha Akkineni was invited as a guest on celebrity chat show, Famously Filmfare, wherein, the actress revealed about the times when things didn't work out between them. She shared, “It took us eight years to be at the same point. Because there were times when I really liked him and he was not in that space. And there were times when we wanted to work it out, but external factors. It took us a very long time to be in the same space.”
In the same interview, the actress also shared that by experiencing odd jobs in her teenage days, she has learned a lot. Samantha said, “I think I was in 11th or 12th grade, you know my friends and I used to do odd jobs just for pocket money. You know Taj Coromandel, many companies used to organize events there. So, my friends and I used to go there and be in the reception committee. The writing, getting people to fill in the forms. The journey has been very long, and it was quite an experience. I don't think many people will get a chance to experience the same. In a throwback interview, Samantha had talked about her post-marriage changes, and had said, “Chay and I have a very normal approach to things; from writing our provision list to deciding the menu for dinner, to seeing if everything is there at home. Day-to-day activities are organised by us. I like to do that at home.”
She had also talked about kids and embracing motherhood, and had shared, “When I have a child, that child is going to be my universe. I had the greatest respect for working mothers. My childhood was not very rosy. For all adults, who haven’t had a very rosy childhood, the first thing they will tell you is that they want to give their child everything that they did not have. That’s something that has stuck with me. So I think the first few years after I have a child, I would not be anywhere.
