Salman Khan Reveals Seema Sajdeh Called Marriage With Sohail 'Toxic', Says, 'I Saw Some Interviews'

Salman Khan revealed what Seema Sajdeh said about her relationship with Sohail Khan in interviews
In the latest episode of Alliance on August 4, 2026, Salman Khan entered as a guest at the headquarters to meet his brother Sohail Khan. The duo had a conversation related to Sohail's past marriage to Seema Sajdeh. On the show, Salman spoke about how no marriage is smooth and that arguments are part of any couple’s journey. He also referred to Seema’s earlier comments where she described the bond as “toxic.” Salman was heard telling Sohail:
“You are taking some blame on to you. I understand that you would not say that it was mutual. I saw some interviews (of Seema) saying as a couple it was toxic, we had fights and all. Every couple has fights. It’s for you to stick in it or to leave.”
He further acknowledged Sohail’s efforts to make the marriage work and said the issues worsened over time. Salman addressed the same by saying:
“Jitni koshish karni thi karli, and you know it all started with one picture, and it kept on escalating, and it reached a place where you couldn't stop. No matter how much you tried to convince her and wanted to be in the relationship. That chapter is gone. I am glad that things are normal now. But as an older brother, I know the pain for you, for us and even for Seema and even for kids.”
Salman also recalled how Sohail and Seema’s relationship began. Salman said that he was busy with the shoot of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam when Sohail told him that the wedding was finalised, and a week later they were getting married.
Salman pointed out that breakups are usually easier to get over, but this separation was harder because Sohail had genuinely tried. He ended by telling Sohail that he hoped he was doing better and encouraged him to start dating again and move forward.
Salman Khan had a few concerns related to his brother and ex-wife’s reunion on Alliance
Married in 1998, Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh spent more than 20 years as a couple before finalising their divorce in 2022. The former couple have been the parents of two sons, Nirvaan and Yohan.
While Salman Khan has recently appeared on Alliance to meet Sohail Khan, a source close to the show shared more details with India Today about what transpired during the episode and what Salman said about Sohail’s separation. According to the insider, Salman admitted he was initially uncomfortable with Sohail and Seema sharing screen space again. He was concerned that working together might bring back difficult emotions for both of them.
The source said Salman also spoke about how the blame after the divorce largely fell on Sohail. However, he pointed out that he had seen firsthand how much effort his younger brother made to hold the marriage together. On the show, Sohail took responsibility for the split, but Salman felt that did not reflect the complete picture. He reportedly mentioned that the separation had left Sohail emotionally broken and that it continues to affect him.
The insider added that Salman stressed both Sohail and Seema had put in genuine efforts to save their marriage, but it could not be sustained. He also noted that co-parenting two children made the situation even more challenging.
During the shoot, Salman further revealed that this was the reason he was hesitant about the former couple appearing together on Alliance. He feared revisiting their past on television could reopen old wounds and undo the progress Sohail had made.
Salman also addressed Seema’s past remarks about the marriage. He acknowledged that she had described it in harsh terms in an interview, but added that the two are now on better terms as friends. At the same time, he said the fallout had been extremely tough for the entire family when it happened.
