Salman threatened to punch Shah Rukh Khan at Katrina Kaif's birthday

Salman Khan was miffed about the fact that Shah Rukh Khan had turned down his request to do a cameo in the former’s then-forthcoming film, Main Aur Mrs. Khanna. Before that, Salman had done a cameo for SRK in Om Shanti Om and even appeared with Katrina Kaif as a guest on Kaun Banega Crorepati, which was hosted by Shah Rukh. SRK retaliated to Salman and made nasty comments about the latter's TV game show, Dus Ka Dum. When Salman threatened to punch SRK, he stated that he would beat the former up at his own party. However, at this point, Gauri Khan interrupted, saying she wanted to leave, and left the party with her husband.

When Shah Rukh Khan broke his silence on his infamous fight with Salman Khan

Salman and Shah Rukh's fight was the biggest Bollywood encounter of the year 2008, and the paparazzi pursued it relentlessly. Moreover, Salman even claimed that SRK had insulted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was Abhishek Bachchan’s wife back then, and no longer had any connection with Salman. However, Shah Rukh maintained his silence on the matter until October 2008 when he said that Salman thinks like a child and that they were not friends. SRK said:

“I think like a father, while Salman thinks like a child! There is not much common between us, we think differently, we speak differently. We have spent a good time together. But with time, that fact has got blurred. We are happy in our worlds. If we come together it is good. If we don’t it’s even better. We are not friends.”
