Sajal Ali began her career in the entertainment industry in Pakistan when she debuted in 2009 with the sitcom, Nadaaniyaan. However, after being in the industry for over a decade, she has ventured into Bollywood and Hollywood. She debuted in the Indian film industry with the 2016 thriller film, Mom. And later, she ventured into the global film industry with the 2022 film, What’s Love Got To Do With It?
Sajal has also been a part of various popular Pakistani dramas such as Sinf-e-Aahan, Ishq-e-Laa, Yeh Dil Mera, Yaqeen Ka Safar, and Kuch Ankahi, among others. Apart from her professional front, the actress’ personal life has also, time and again, garnered the limelight. Sajal got married to the Pakistani actor, Ahad Raza Mir in 2020, but unfortunately, as per several reports, they parted ways in 2022 for undisclosed reasons.

Recently, a video from Sajal’s latest birthday celebrations has been doing rounds on social media. The video was uploaded by the Pakistani celebrity makeup artist, Adnan Ansari on January 18, 2024. In the video, Sajal can be seen cutting a huge chocolate cake at her workplace. The makeup artist brought a scrumptious cake for Sajal to celebrate her birthday while they were working. For the unversed, Adnan is one of Sajal's close friends, and as noticeable in the video, the actress was genuinely very happy with the impromptu celebration. Adnan penned “Happy birthday dear @sajalaly” as the caption for the same video post.
As soon as the video went viral on the internet, the netizens took to the comment section of the post to pen their thoughts on the same. While the video encapsulated a beautiful moment between two friends on a joyous occasion, a segment of netizens found it inappropriate and filled the comment section with their disappointed views. On the other hand, others found the video extremely heartwarming. One user wrote, “Ye makeup artist har celebrity se chipak kay apne insecurity ko pora karty hain.” Another one said, “Woh khud bhi cake cut kr skti hath pakarna zarori tu nhi tha fuzol chipkaty ho mahira sy bhi ab is sy bhi.” A third comment can be read as “Isn’t this the cutest video ever.”

Sajal Ali celebrated her birthday on January 17, 2024, as she turned 30. Her sister, Saboor Aly, who is also a famous actress in Pakistan, surprised her with a small celebration at a restaurant. Sajal wore a blue pullover and kept her makeup minimal, while Saboor wore a grey pullover and a grey-toned checkered long jacket, which she accompanied with subtle makeup. Sajal was all smiles as she cut the cake and celebrated with her loved ones. Saboor shared some glimpses of the occasion on her Instagram stories and also uploaded a sweet birthday post for Sajal on her official Instagram account. She captioned her post as:
“Happy Birthday to the one who stole my clothes, my makeup, and my sanity, but I still love you to bits. May this year be full of everything you wish for! @sajalaly.”
