Amidst the reports of Shoaib Malik's alleged infidelity, an old clip of the Pakistani cricketer from Shoaib Akhtar's talk show has been going viral on the internet. In November 2023, Malik appeared as a guest on The Shoaib Akhtar Show 2.0, where the duo talked about the illustrious cricketing career of Malik. The two also delved into the highs and lows of Malik’s professional and personal life. During a fun segment of the show, the host asked him to name five women he liked, and they could be from any industry. Malik said:

“Bandiyan waise hi thaa kar ke lagti hai. Paanch (5) nahi paanch sau (500) hai. Bandiyan mujhe boot zyada pasand hai duniya bhar se. Lekin paanch naam won’t be enough.”

Shoaib Malik said he gets along with women better than men

Shoaib Akhtar further pestered him to recall the names of any five women from Bollywood, Hollywood or any other field. The 41-year-old then revealed that he gets along with women better than men. He elaborated that he gets along with women naturally that’s why it is easier for him to connect with them. He said:

“Meri ladko se zyada ladkiyon se banti hai, khud mein bhi main ladki lagta hun shayad.”

Shoaib Akhtar named a few actresses, such as Mehwish Hayat, Mahira Khan, and Hania Aamir, and asked Malik if he liked anyone from them. The latter immediately responded that Akhtar wanted him to end his friendship with the rest ten women. He said:

“Jo baki dus hai unse dosti khatam karwayenge main paanch naam lunga toh. Saari bandiyaan acchi hai.”

Shoaib Malik’s three marriages

For the unversed, the 41-year-old Pakistani cricketer has married thrice. At first, Shoaib had a telephonic nikah with an Indian teacher named Ayesha Siddiqui. They got married in 2002 and eventually parted ways just days before Shoaib’s second marriage with Sania Mirza in 2010. Shoaib and Sania had a traditional Muslim wedding ceremony held in Hyderabad, India, and a walima was held in Sialkot, Pakistan. The former was blessed with a son, Izhaan in 2018. Unfortunately, reports of an impending divorce between Shoaib and Sania surfaced in the media in 2020. The estranged couple finally parted ways before Shoaib tied the knot for the third time with Pakistani actress, Sana Javed in 2024.

There are reports by the Pakistani media stating that Shoaib Malik’s sisters were against his marriage with Sana and none of his family members were in attendance at their wedding ceremony. It is also being reported that Sania was tired of Malik’s extramarital affairs and hence, she decided to opt for a ‘khula’, which is a Muslim woman’s right to divorce her husband.
