Tim (as his nickname goes by) has garnered so much love and fame that it has surpassed the popularity of his superstar parents, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Kareena recently invited her sister-in-law, Soha Ali Khan on her chat show named, What Woman Want, wherein the nanad-bhabhi jodi discussed about motherhood, parenting and being a celebrity mother. During the course of conversation, Kareena went on to share that she has to push Saif to go to work, whilst he wants to spend time with the little munchkin. Kareena remarked, “Saif is obsessed! I have to push him out, I have to tell him to go.”
Not just this, Kareena even quoted an example when Saif was supposed to head out to Bhuj for a shoot and he almost cancelled the shoot saying, “Nahi nahi, cancel the shoot. I can't go. I can't leave Taimur.” Kareena added, “I'm like you have to go, you have to go to work. And I have to tell him that I want to be with you also now sometimes alone”. To this Soha laughed off and said that she can see it in Saif. Soha retorted, “He is so in love with spending time with Taimur. Kareena even asked Soha if her bond with Kunal has become closer after the birth of their daughter Inaaya. Kareena asked, "Would you say your bind with Kunal has become closer after the birth of Inaaya", to which Soha replied, " I think it changes. It takes time to adjust with that. In 2018, at the India Today Conclave, Kareena opened up about her life after the birth of Taimur. The actres was quoted as saying, "My life is no more my own. My heart no more beats inside me. It beats in this gorgeous looking boy that I sleep next to every night and everything is in his two tiny little hands”.
On talking about balancing Taimur’s upbringing as parents, Kareena had once shared, “Taimur loves his time with his mother! I think his mother spoils him because I’m always giving him the warmth and the cuddle. His father is teaching him to play cricket. So there are things that we both try to balance out. When I’m doing a film, then Saif tries to be around. But now he’s shooting for the last three-and-a-half months so I be around Taimur”. For the ones who don’t know, a look-alike doll of Taimur started doing the rounds some time back. On this note, Kareena retorted, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. It’s tough on him as it’s on Saif and me.” Talking about constant paparazzi attention on Taimur, Kareena told Hindustan Times, "I feel it's getting used to his name being called out and not particularly the cameras around. I don't think he can make out that he's being clicked. He's still too small for that."
Speaking about increasing responsibilities once a baby is born, Kareena had stated, “There are a lot of responsibilities on you once you become a mother. You feel that your heart is not beating inside you, but outside your body, and that is the biggest responsibility. Both me and Saif always wanted this. We used to talk about all these things.
