Saif Ali Khan and his begum, Kareena Kapoor Khan had welcomed their little cotton ball, Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016. From the day, Taimur’s first picture was out, the little bundle of joy had stormed the internet and had become a social media sensation. Since the day of his birth, both Saif and Kareena have been cherishing every moment spent with their little prince. They despite keeping busy schedules, always manage to take time for their cute patootie.
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Saif Ali Khan has opened up about the kind of attention Taimur gets from the paparazzi. Talking about whether the paparazzi culture has any negative impact on Taimur, Saif said, “I would love it if Taimur could grow up just as a normal kid and be allowed to… Look, like you said we are really privileged and nobody is really complaining. I love the press, in fact, the press has been very kind to move away from our house; they used to be stationed right opposite here. Yes, they do give him attention. Luckily, he seems to be very sweet and normal, and he has not gotten affected in some strange way by it." He also added that he would be really happy if his son doesn’t get any attention and is treated as a normal child.
In a previous interaction with the Bombay Times, the Sacred Games actor had poured his heart out on how he felt when Taimur would be sleeping when he comes back home from work. Saif was then quoted as saying, "When I come home after work and find Taimur sleeping, I feel bad. We shoot long hours, but if I haven’t packed up even after 8 pm, I feel uncomfortable because it means taking away time from my son.” (Also Read: Nehha Pendse Dances With Fiance Shardul On Sangeet, Their Twinning Outfits Are Show-Stealer [VIDEOS])
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are very well aware of the popularity of their son, Taimur Ali Khan. The moment Taimur steps out of his house, paparazzi follows him everywhere and just won’t stop clicking his pictures and his father, Saif can't stand the constant media glares on him. In fact, once police had to intervene outside Saif’s house and disperse the paparazzi from there. Saif had spoken about the same in an interview with the Hindustan Times and had quoted, “Yes, the cops cleared the paparazzi because someone complained. Not me. I can’t say I feel kindly about their presence, because 10 people lounging about outside your house waiting for a shot of your kid is disturbing to say the least. I didn’t complain because I don’t want to deprive anyone of a job.”
Saif Ali Khan had revealed that he and his family have always maintained a cordial relationship with the paps and he understands that clicking celebrities is their livelihood but certain restrains should be maintained. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the Omkara actor was then quoted as saying, “We have always shared a very respectful relationship with the paparazzi. We understand that it’s their livelihood. However, it’s important to understand that kids should enjoy the basic right of growing up in a normal atmosphere out of and away from the constant media glare. I believe I am well within my right as a father to choose to not pose for the cameras when I have my son with me or to inform the photographers that the constant flashes can hurt his eyes. As media figures, we have to live with the attention and we accept that. But our kids shouldn’t be subjected to it.” (Also Read: Deepika Padukone Finally Reacts On Getting The Tattoo With Her Ex, Ranbir Kapoor's Initials Removed)
