Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan is the tenth Nawab of Pataudi, the title which he inherited from his father, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Apart from being an exceptionally talented actor, Saif is also one of the richest celebrities in India. The actor owns the luxurious Pataudi Palace and a regal ancestral home in Bhopal.

The dashing actor is enjoying life with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan and their adorable kids, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. He is also the father of Bollywood diva, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, who is also all set to make his acting debut with the film, Sarzameen. The actor also reportedly shares a cordial bond with his ex-wife, Amrita Singh, who was one of the best actresses of her generation.
Despite all the success and wealth that Saif Ali Khan has managed to create in all these decades with his solid acting career in Bollywood, he has two ancestral properties. For the unversed, Saif’s ancestral properties include the famous Pataudi Palace, items which belong to the Pataudi Palace, and an ancestral home in Bhopal. As per reports, the entire amount of both the properties, including everything that belongs to the Pataudi Palace, is worth Rs. 5000 crores.
However, as per reports, Saif Ali Khan cannot transfer his ancestral properties worth Rs. 5000 crores to his children, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Yes! You read it right. The way Saif inherited the properties from his father, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Unfortunately, the actor won’t be able to transfer the same to his children.
According to a report in Bollywood Life, Saif Ali Khan’s luxurious House of Pataudi comes under the Enemy Dispute Act, 1968, of the Government of India. As per the report, no one can claim the right over such properties, and they cannot be inherited. As a result, all the luxurious assets and everything that is inside the Pataudi House come under this act, which is why Saif’s children, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan won’t be able to inherit it.
The report further stated that despite the strict law, any person, who wants to claim the properties can move to the High Court, Supreme Court, and even to the President of India. As per the report, Saif Ali Khan's great-grandfather, Hamidullah Khan, who was a Nawab under the British regime, couldn’t make a testament to all his assets.

As a result, there could be some contention within the Pataudi family, predominantly from the members descending from the actor’s grand-aunt in Pakistan. Thus, considering all these complex legalities, as per the report, the chances of Saif Ali Khan passing down his ancestral properties and assets in Haryana and Bhopal to his four children, Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur and Jehangir, are quite faded at the moment. However, there’s always hope at the end, which is why the end of this story is still in process.
