Sai Pallavi is one of the most popular faces in the South Indian film industry. She has worked in a number of regional language films, including Tamil. Telugu and Malayali. She made her debut in 2015 with the Malayali film, Premam and hasn’t looked back on her professional career since. She received quite a few awards and accolades, including the prestigious Filmfare Awards. Moreover, she was also featured in Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30 in 2020. Fast forward to now, Sai Pallavi grabbed all the headlines when news of her alleged wedding with a Tamil filmmaker surfaced. And now, she rubbished it all in her latest social media post.
Taking to the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), Sai Pallavi broke her silence on the ongoing rumours about her wedding with a Tamil filmmaker, Rajkumar Periyasamy. For the unversed, several pictures of the duo wearing floral garlands had surfaced on the internet, which started such speculations. And now, slamming it all, Sai Pallavi cleared the air about all such reports. She mentioned:
“Honestly, I don’t care for Rumors, but when it involves friends who are family, I have to speak up. An image from my film’s pooja ceremony was intentionally cropped and circulated with paid bots & disgusting intentions. When I have pleasant announcements to share on my work front, it’s disheartening to have to explain for all these jobless doings. To cause discomfort like this is purely vile.”

Well, speaking about the picture which started it all, it featured Rajkumar Periyasamy and Sai Pallavi posing together in white ethnic ensembles and twinning in red floral garlands. While with one look at the snapshot, the fans of the diva were sanguine that it was a picture from their secret wedding, however, it was not the case. In fact, the picture dates back to the time from the muhurat ceremony of Sai’s upcoming film, SK21, which is directed by Rajkumar. Moreover, the original picture has several other members of the cast and crew, and not just the two of them.

In an earlier interaction with Pinkvilla, Sai Pallavi had opened up about her film career. The diva mentioned how she has never been used to being hailed as a star. She mentioned that she feels lucky to have been doing what she loves, and is happy to receive all the love and appreciation for her work. She had mentioned:
“I’m not a film star, I’m just someone who’s lucky enough to do what she loves & is getting so much love from the people around. I consider myself to be extremely blessed.”
