Ryan Clark, the American football player-turned-NFL analyst is currently facing a tough time. He recently lost his analyst job as ESPN fired him without prior notice. Ryan was informed of his contract termination on July 20, 2026 while he was appearing on a live broadcast of NFL Live. After receiving the shocking news during a commercial break, he did not return to finish the taping. As the 46-year-old navigates the low point, his past controversy involving Puka Nacua's ex-girlfriend, Hallie Aiono resurfaced.

Ryan Clark made 'vile' comments on the then-pregnant Hallie Aiono

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua's ex-girlfriend, Hallie Aiono, once shared an emotional video on social media where she detailed a deep emotional scar. Hallie shared how false narratives about her character, created by Ryan Clark, impacted her mental health. The incident took place at a time when she was pregnant with Puka Nacua's child. Since they had already broken up before the baby Kingston's October 2025 birth, she filed a petition asking the court to establish the NFL star's paternity formally.

Through the petition, Hallie also asked for the sole physical custody of the kid, alongwith joint legal custody and financial help from Puka Nacua for "reasonable expenses" related to the pregnancy and birth. This move received intense criticism from former ESPN anchor Ryan Clark. During an episode of The Pivot podcast, Ryan discussed the paternity petition with co-hosts Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and accused Hallie of infidelity.

Ryan alleged that Hallie dated Puka only because of his money and even then she couldn't stay loyal to him. He questioned her character, saying that she slept with other people and thus, she was so desperate to prove Puka's paternity. He further stated that if the Rams star believed that the baby was his, then the entire paternity suit filing would not have been necessary. He then took it too far by saying that he hoped the child wasn't his, so that he would have no ties with Hallie. Ryan's exact words were:

"You don't have to prove [paternity] if [Puka] believes it. What are you doing? You know why she's even dumber?…[Hallie] had one job. If you were in it for the money, you had one job, to not have sex with somebody else...And you couldn't wait. So for Puka Nacua, congrats, man. I pray that's not your baby."

Hallie Aiono was left deeply scarred by Ryan Clark's accusations

Taking to social media, an emotional Hallie Aiono shared that Ryan Clark's messages left her with a deep emotional scar. She called his and the other hosts' comments "disgusting and vile." Puka Nacua's ex further shared that at the time, she was already in a vulnerable state, dealing with a breakup and figuring out how to go through the pregnancy and childbirth alone. She stated:

"While I was trying to figure out how I was going to bring my son into the world, three grown men decided to use my life as entertainment and post about me on their podcast...They painted me as this slut, this whore. They made jokes about how I didn't know who the father was and how dumb I was and how I had one job...And a year later, I am still healing from it."

Hallie revealed that even a year after the baseless comments were made on her, she couldn't get past it. She stated that it was so traumatising for her that she even considered taking her own life. Calling it the "darkest part" of her life. Clarifying that she "never cheated" on Puka Nacua, Hallie Aiono mentioned:

"I did not want to live anymore...Watching these men use their very public platform to talk about me in such a terrible way — I was already in such a vulnerable and lonely place in life. Those eight minutes that those guys decided to talk about me became a very significant part in the darkest part of my life."
