When Rupali recalled her wedding with Ashwin to be a superfast one

In one of her previous interviews with The Times Of India, Rupali Ganguly recollected her wedding memories and revealed that it was rather a superfast one. Since she wanted to keep everything hush-hush, her wedding turned out to be every bit hilarious since they decided to get married randomly and unplanned. Recalling a few other anecdotes from her special day, she mentioned:

“Ashwin and I had decided to get married in a few days and I had announced it to my parents. My Vijay was taking a flight out of Mumbai and I had to ask him to stay back. We fixed a date and I was hoping that Ashwin would show up on time. We were planning to do a registered wedding at my home in Worli but then my father decided to do kanyadaan and we called a pandit."

When Rupali highlighted that her husband took early retirement from work just for her

In yet another of her earlier interviews with News18, Rupali had candidly spoken about her marital life and husband, Ashwin, and shared how the latter always supported her no matter what. She added how her husband voluntarily chose to take early retirement and asked her to be the breadwinner of the family, and decided to stay with their son himself.

When Rupali reveals why her son does not watch her popular show, Anupama

In the same interview, Rupali had spoken about a peculiar habit of her son, Rudransh. The doting mother mentioned how her son never watches her show, since he believes that his mother leaves him behind to stay with another family shown on the television. In her words:

“He has not watched Anupamaa ever. He enters a room, if Anupamaa is on air, he covers his face and leaves. He was six and a half years old when I came to work. Initially, his thought was, Anupamaa is my second family and that’s why his mumma does not spend time with him a lot. I think he misses our time together.”
