Rishi Kapoor Pens 'Thank You' Note For Grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor On His 113th Birth Anniversary

Grandparents always hold a special place in their grandchildren's lives. From their mid night stories to their life lessons, everything stays with us through the journey of our life. Their life teachings and methods of handling situations mould us into a better person. Learning to walk by holding the hand of our grandparents and enjoying vacations with them, remains our most cherished memories of childhood. No matter how much time we have spent with our grandparents, we have always craved for more.

We all love to enjoy watching movies on the silver screens and love the performances of the actors. But do you know, who was the pioneer behind making all this possible for all of us? It was none other than the late legend, Prithviraj Kapoor. The Kapoor’s are one of the first families to star in the movies and Prithviraj ji had started his acting career with India’s first talkie movie, Alam Ara. The legacy was then passed on to the next generations to come and till date, the younger generation of the Kapoors have been taking the legacy forward with their tremendous acting skills and perfect screen timings. (Recommended Read: Anita Hassanandani And Hubby, Rohit Reddy Enjoy A Much-Needed Vacation After 'Nach Baliye 9')

She wrote, “My mother Shaukat Kaifi who worked with Prithvi Theatres tells the most amazing stories about his compassion and humanity. I am lucky to have had him as our neighbour in Janki Kutir for many years.”

The legacy that Prithviraj Kapoor had started was taken forward by his sons, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor. The next generation had kept the flag high with their outstanding performances.
