Former couple, Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty are one of the much-adored jodis in Tinseltown. For the unversed, Raqesh had met actress, Shamita Shetty on the sets of the show, Bigg Boss OTT. It was during his stint inside the Bigg Boss house that he had fallen head-over-heels for the gorgeous actress, and their cutesy camaraderie won many hearts. However, recently, Raqesh and Shamita parted ways and left everyone stunned.
On July 26, 2022, Shamita and Raqesh finally announced their separation with their respective Instagram stories. They revealed that they were no longer together. Raqesh also shared that being a private person, he didn't want to share the details of his personal life in public. The news about Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat parting ways came as a shock for their massive fanbase. The ShaRa fans were so heartbroken that they started directing some hate towards Raqesh's ex-wife, Ridhi Dogra. However, Ridhi couldn't take this hatred and mean comments on her and she clarified that she was not a part of Raqesh and Shamita's separation. Taking to her social media handle, Ridhi shared a picture note saying that she was in no way involved in the personal decisions of the former couple. The fans asked Ridhi to stay out of this matter and mentioned that nobody is trolling her because of her former husband. If reports are to be believed, then the rift between Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty had ignited when in an interview, Raqesh had called her 'dear friend'. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Raqesh had talked about his relationship with Shamita and shared how it works for them. He had said:
"I'll tell you this, it's all about the energy two people carry with each other. That has to be worked on for anything to happen. We are in a happy zone; she is a dear friend. Friendship has to be so strong that nothing else can affect it. She is a pure soul. I value people who are honest. We have a lot of common interests. It's interesting to have like-minded people (Around you)."
