In 2016, the television fans were left frenzied for a moment when Ankita Lokhande had hinted of dying love in a cryptic tweet and Sushant Singh Rajput too, gave controversial statements to media regarding his love life. In 2018, Sushant Singh Rajput was linked-up with his Kedarnath co-star, Sara Ali Khan and it all started when the latter had cut short one of her trips to be a part of former’s birthday. According to a source quoted by the India Today, "She dropped by his apartment at night with a cake, and they went on for dinner together after that. Sushant then dropped Sara home, and they snuck in some quality time together." But a few months later, reports had suggested that Sushant was miffed with Sara for her brewing closeness with Kartik Aaryan and had unfollowed her on social media.

In May 2019, a picture that Sushant had posted on his Instagram handle with his hand on Rhea’s shoulder as they both let out a peal of heartfelt laughter, had grabbed many eyeballs. And a few days back, Rhea and Sushant’s individual pictures with similar backgrounds from the valleys of Ladakh, had made everyone wonder if they were holidaying together there.

Speaking about the love angle between Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty, a source close to the couple had shared with Pinkvilla, “Sushant is currently seeing Rhea Chakraborty. They have known each other for a while and they hit it off really well in the last few weeks. In fact, things moved from one thing to the other quite quickly and now, they are already dating each other.”

She was then quoted as saying, “I’m closer to the no-strings-attached kind. I’m not looking at falling in love, dating someone or getting married for the next many years. Even if I’m interested in someone, I don’t expect them to marry me.
