Ravindra Jadeja is one of the most prominent names in the Indian cricket world, who has been ruling the field for almost a decade now. The cricketer is well-known for his exceptional skills with both bat and ball, but it's his fielding that makes him stand out from the rest. Jadeja is one of the top fielders, with some cricket fanatics often citing him as the best fielder in the world.
Ravindra Jadeja made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals in 2008 but failed to set a benchmark for himself. After going around the block a bit, he made his debut for his team, Chennai Super Kings in 2012, and the all-rounder has shown exceptional loyalty to his team. Since then, his career has only seen highs with his net worth churning up to around Rs. 51 crores, as of 2021.
While Ravindra Jadeja's professional life often hits the headlines, his personal life remains under wraps. For the unversed, Ravindra is a happily married man, who has been leading a perfect life with his better half, Rivaba Jadeja. Rivaba hails from a political background, and she herself is active in politics as well. Meanwhile, the cricketer's father, Anirudh Singh Jadeja, and sister, Naina, are also in politics. Rivaba's constant support and motivation for Ravindra is the only reason behind his appealing professional performance. So, without further ado, let's know about Ravindra Jadeja's wife, Rivaba Jadeja.
Born on September 5, 1990, Rivaba Jadeja was brought up in Rajkot, Gujarat. Formerly known as Riva Solanki, she was born to a businessman, Hardev Singh and his wife, Prafullaba Solanki, who worked in Indian Railways. Rivaba holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science, Rajkot. She is the niece of renowned Congress politician, Hari Singh Solanki, and holds a keen interest in politics.
Rivaba left her career in engineering and joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2019. She was inducted into the party by the MP from Jamnagar, Poonam Madam. Before joining the BJP, Rivaba was appointed the chief of the women's wing of the right-wing organisation in India, Karni Sena. She has been an active part of Indian politics, and recently, she has been appointed from the Jamnagar North seat for the Gujarat assembly elections.
Ravindra Jadeja’s sister, Naina was a good friend of Rivaba Solanki, and the duo often spent time together. The cricketer met Rivaba at a common friend’s party and felt an instant connection with her. After getting to know each other better at the party, the duo soon fell in love. Later, in February 2016, Ravindra proposed to his ladylove for marriage.
The two were so much in love that they did not wait too long to exchange the rings. On February 5, 2016, Ravindra and Rivaba got engaged in a private ceremony. Reportedly, their engagement had taken place at Jadeja’s hotel, ‘Jaddu’s Food Field’ in Rajkot. The pictures from the intimate ceremony delighted the cricketer's massive fanbase as they were happy to see him start a new inning in his life.
Ravindra Jadeja and Riva Solanki tied the marital knot on April 17, 2016, and started their forever journey with one another. The two got married at the Seasons Hotel, Rajkot in a royal wedding. For the event, Jadeja decked up as a Rajput king in a baby pink-coloured sherwani and accessorised his look with a golden turban, kalgi and a neckpiece. On the other hand, Rivaba had looked like a princess in a traditional red, green and orange lehenga with heavily embellished work.
Rivaba Jadeja is the best life partner one could ask for as she is the epitome of wifey goals. She has been there for Ravindra from day one, sticking by his side like a solid rock through thick and thin. Riva is a compassionate person, who understands her husband like no other. Being a doting wifey, she never misses a chance to shower her love and care on Ravindra, making him feel complete every day.
Riva is a supportive life partner, and she is one of the reasons behind Ravindra Jadeja's massive success. Ravindra had led Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League in 2022, and the team picked up their first win as they defeated RCB. After the match, the cricketer dedicated the win to his wife, Rivaba Jadeja and all his team members. He had said:
"First of all, this is the first victory as a captain ever. I would like to dedicate it to my wife and also the team because the first victory is always special. Previous four games, we couldn't cross the line. But as a team, we came good."
Ravindra Jadeja and his wife, Rivaba were blessed with a baby girl, Nidhyana, on June 8, 2017. The doting parents are living their best life with their little one, but they have kept their daughter away from the limelight. Ravindra and Rivaba rarely post glimpses from their personal lives on their social media handles. For the unversed, Ravindra Jadeja had to wait for a month to meet his daughter, Nidhyana as he was on a professional tour. Once, he had talked about entering the fatherhood phase in his life and said:
“It was a special feeling. I don’t realise anything now but as I spend more time with the baby, then I will get more attached. It is a good thing for me and everyone in the family are very happy. Sometimes when I go home, I get bored. So now, I have a toy to play with… it will be a good time pass for me.”
Needless to say, Rivaba Jadeja is the best wifey to her cricketer-husband, Ravindra Jadeja. The couple has been rising high in their respective professional careers, courtesy of their beautiful bond with one another.
