In the year 2013, Ravi married Sargun in a grand Punjabi wedding. Their love story started on the sets of Zee TV’s popular show 12/24 Karol Bagh (2009). On August 14, 2019, Ravi's real-life sasuma, Aradhana Mehta turned a year older, and her loving son-in-law shared a cute wish for her. The actor shared a throwback picture from their family vacation in 2018, and wrote, "Love you so much mumma. Me and Sargun are moving ahead because of your blessings and love, I am forever indebted to you for a million reasons the biggest of them all is Sargun. Thank you and love you happy birthday, mumma."
In a 2014 interview with the PTI, Ravi had shared that he is a responsible son-in-law in real life too. He had said, "I decided to make a comeback with ‘Jamai Raja’ as I liked the concept. I relate to the subject well. I am a responsible son-in-law in real life too and at the same time meticulous when it comes to relationships." Ravi has never shied away from the fact that his wife, Sargun has brought lot of luck in his life. In his 2017 TEDx talk, he had talked about her in detail, and had said, "When Sargun came into my life, my life completely transformed. All these moments from the time I was born to now all came together and I can confidently speak to you about being happy about who I am."
In an interview with The Times of India, Ravi had talked about how blessed he feels about having Sargun in his life. Ravi has remarked, "Recently, Sargun was away shooting in Canada for a month. There are occasions when we can’t have lunch together for days because of long shifts at work. If one isn’t used to that kind of lifestyle, adjusting becomes difficult. Having Sargun in my life is a real blessing and I keep telling her every day that there isn’t a single thing that I don’t admire about her.
