Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made a joint appearance on the first episode of Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. The couple is currently leading the headlines for their sizzling chemistry and interesting revelations on the couch. Apart from sharing details about their relationship and proposal story, Ranveer and Deepika also showed their dreamy wedding video for the first time. However, Ranveer got trolled for his storytelling skills as netizens pointed out that his story of meeting his ex-girlfriend, Anushka Sharma is the same as that with Deepika in the same show.
During the show, Ranveer Singh opened up about his relationship with Deepika Padukone and shared the incident when he first saw her. Reflecting on the same, Ranveer said that he was at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s house for a reading of Ram Leela, and they all were waiting for Deepika to arrive. The moment the actress entered the room in a white chikankari outfit, the sea wind blew, and her hair started flying. Ranveer added:
"There was a famous or infamous reading for Ram Leela at Mr Bhansali’s house in Versova. I was supposed to meet him before Deepika’s arrival. So I was sitting on the table and the door was on my left. He has these heavy doors and he lives by the seaside. So, these heavy doors open and the gush of wind comes from the sea. There, Deepika enters wearing this white chikankari, hair blowing due to the sea wind just like some sadgi ki moorat. I was like Oh My God!"

Needless to say, Ranveer Singh's first encounter with his wife, Deepika Padukone was every bit filmy. The couple yet again proved that they were meant to be together and left everyone amazed. However, after the episode featuring DeepVeer was released, netizens pointed out that Ranveer had narrated the same story for his ex-girlfriend, Anushka Sharma, when he appeared with her in the chat show, KWK 4, in 2011.
Earlier, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma graced the controversial talk show, Koffee With Karan 4, and left everyone in awe of their chemistry. During their appearance, Ranveer recalled his first encounter with Anushka and revealed that it was an unexpected meeting. Sharing the filmy details from the same, the actor described how he was wooed by Anushka's glory when he saw her in real life for the first time. He also mentioned that he lost his concentration and all he could think about was Anushka, which even cost him the film. In his words:
"Cut to, this audition process happening and Manish called me to do a reading session with my co-actor, little did I know it was Anushka Sharma. He takes me up to the 4th floor of the YRF studios, and the opulent doors open. And since there were huge doors, the wind flies in my face and right in front of me was Anushka in all her glory. So I had this iPod in my ear, but I'm not listening to the song because 'Tujhme Rabb Dikhta Hai' is playing in my head. I lost my concentration, and I was simply wooed by Anushka. It even cost me this film."

Reacting to the video, one user penned, "So basically he's Akshay Kumar from garam masala who says the same things to all girls." Meanwhile, another user commented, "Woooowww I heard they only act like a couple for the cameras and now it seems more true than ever! Who will be the next girl?" A third netizen's comment can be read as "Genuinely Feeling bad for deepu yaar in the moment she must have thought kitna pyaar se bol raha hai ram leela ki reading ke baare mein usko kya pata pehle bhi use kar chuka hai same line."
