Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married last month on November 14-15, 2018 in Italy in two wedding ceremonies- first in Konkani style and then as per Punjabi-Sindhi rituals. After their return to India, DeepVeer hosted three wedding receptions- one in Bangalore and two in Mumbai for their friends and family. Ranveer attended a conclave in Mumbai yesterday, December 13, 2018. He couldn't help but praise his newbie wife, Deepika. Talking about her, Ranveer said that he asks her to take decisions in their marital lives. He said, "I am first of all happy that I have got this top woman, she is a top chick. She is an amazing chick. I allow her to make most of the decisions because she is just better at everything.”
He added further, “I have no qualms in admitting that she is a much more evolved, much more mature person than me. Of course, I love her, but I respect and admire her so much for everything she has achieved. She is a much greater person than me, she has achieved a lot more than me. It’s like, I am basically a bigda hua bacha, I’ve been treated like a nawab in my home, my mother, my sister, my dad they all spoil me. So many things are done for me."
Praising her more, Ranveer said that Deepika is much more evolved. The Padmaavat actor retorted, "Deepika, on the other hand, is truly an independent woman. She runs her show, she is the CEO of her world, from start to finish. I have a lot of support and the kind of support she never had and she kind of achieved the pinnacle of success. Elaborating on their wedding, Ranveer quipped that everything was done by Deepika, "Like this wedding which was like a dream wedding which she completely orchestrated. I don’t even have the vision or the capacity to execute something like that. So, I have learnt very early on, the key to success is to say yes to everything. Allow her to decide, she will be happy and your happiness should come from her happiness. Just say yes to everything and you’ll just sail through."
And lastly, how does marriage feel to Ranveer? He replied "I feel like I am flying, Marriage is like the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Wow, I feel some kind of magic, some kind of power, I feel invincible, you know in superhero movies, that moment when the suit comes on, I feel like marriage has done that to me. I feel like I’ve grown up now, finally, I am a man. I feel grounded, I feel secure. I’m really loving it, it’s been only 10 or 15 days, it’s so nice, it’s so lovely. I would highly recommend it."
In another event, Deepika was asked how marriage feels, and she replied, "It’s a long conversation, but thank you all for the love. It has been very magical and special and we’re so happy that we got to share it with all of you." And added, "I think marriage itself is a beautiful celebration, while literal celebrations are done from our end, December anyway is a very festive time and as a newlywed, the celebration continues for a while."
She also added about their honeymoon plans and Ranveer's film, Simmba, and shared, "I don’t think we have planned anything now. Right now, we are looking forward to his film release. Yes ( I think he looks hot.) I loved the trailer and it is signature Rohit Shetty and I’ve had the pleasure of working with him and creating one of my most memorable characters with him. Simmba is on its way to becoming a blockbuster and it has success written all over it. I think right now, we’re focused on his film releasing and we’ll figure out honeymoon and birthday after that."
Deepika has always remained vocal about Ranveer. In a recent interview with GQ, the Tamasha star told that she knows Ranveer, inside-out! She revealed, “He is vulnerable, extremely emotional, very intelligent; childlike at times. That's not to say that his irrepressible energy isn't him, it's very him. Deepika further added, “Emotionally, I think I'm the more intuitive one. I'd say IQ is more him. But at the same time, he's not all like, 'I'm a man, I can't show my emotions.' He is sensitive, and so am I, and it makes it easier to share a life with someone who understands that."
Deepika and Ranveer definitely make an awesome pair together, right?
