Rani Mukerji is one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood. The diva never leaves a chance to stun everyone with her amazing acting skills and pleasant personality. Apart from being a stunning actress, Rani is a perfect family woman. She is a loving wifey to her husband, Aditya Chopra and a doting mother to their daughter, Adira Chopra. For the unversed, the couple welcomed their baby girl in 2015. Moreover, both Rani and Aditya are extremely private person who prefers keeping their little munchkin away from the limelight. And now, Rani opened up on why she keeps her daughter away from the public attention.

In an interview with ETimes, Rani Mukerji opened up about her daughter, Adira Chopra. Talking about her little bundle of joy, the doting mommy revealed that her daughter couldn't accept her in the role of an actress. She even mentioned that her baby girl was there with her on the sets of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, but she hasn't seen the film yet. Rani also stated that since Adira is very young, she cannot differentiate between her as a mother and as an actress. Elaborating more on it, she said that whenever her daughter sees her crying onscreen, she also starts crying. In her words:

"She was there on the shoot, but she's not seen the film. She's still very young and she can't alienate me as an actor and me as a mother. So, if she sees me cry on screen, she will start crying, so Adira has not seen the film."

In in the same interview, Rani opened up about why she kept her daughter, Adira away from social media and the limelight. The actress revealed that as her daughter is in a growing stage, it is important to protect her from public attention. Further, the doting mommy mentioned that when her daughter grows up, she and her husband, Aditya will leave it to her whether she wants to be on social media or not.

Earlier, during a promotional event for her upcoming film, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, Rani had opened up about putting herself into Sagarika's (real-life Sagarika Chatterjee, on whom the film is based) shoes. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that she could not fathom the idea of her daughter, Adira being away from her, so she could only think of her mother when she read about the film's character.

Earlier, while promoting her recent release, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, on Kareena Kapoor Khan's chat show, What Women Want, Rani had talked about her motherhood journey. Elaborating more about it, the actress revealed that her daughter was born prematurely and was even admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Rani also stated that embracing motherhood makes a person realise that they could love someone more than anything in this world.
