Ranbir Kapoor is ruling the headlines, not only because of his Sanjay Dutt biopic film, Sanju, but also for his link-up with the Raazi actress, Alia Bhatt. After a series of character posters and a short teaser, Rajkumar Hirani finally launched the trailer of the film, Sanju on May 30, 2018. And just like Ranbir Kapoor said in the trailer, this film is a must watch because ‘Itna variety wala life aapko kidhar milega?’ (Also Read: Sanjay Dutt And The Women In His Life, From Tina Munim To Manyata Dutt)
From his drug addiction and the alleged connection to the underworld to his multiple link-ups, Sanjay Dutt didn’t shy away from sharing the bold elements of his controversial life. In one scene, when the biographer, Anushka Sharma asks Ranbir Kapoor a.k.a. Sanju about how many girlfriends he has had. To which he gave her a rounded off figure of 350!! Yes, that’s the count.
When Ranbir was asked to comment on how many girlfriends has he had, at the trailer launch of Sanju, he stated, "I have had less than 10 girlfriends. I like love stories. I am more on the romantic side not tharki." The interest of people in Ranbir Kapoor’s love life never seems to end, and the latest one being his alleged relationship with his Brahmastra co-star, Alia Bhatt. In an interview recently, when Ranbir was asked if he is dating Alia, he said that it's ‘too new’ to talk about. His indirect confirmation was enough to tell the tale between them. For the uninitiated ones, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s link-up rumours were ignited when they walked hand-in-hand at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception. At the IIFA conference in Delhi, when Ranbir was presented with the well-known fact that Alia has a crush on him, he responded to it by saying, “Well, I have a boy crush on her now”. And this made everyone go aww over him. When asked Alia if such speculations about her link-up with Ranbir affects their friendship, she revealed to Hindustan Times, "I haven’t asked Ranbir. I don’t know how he feels about those rumours. He won’t feel anything as he will be exactly like me (smiles). But there is nothing to feel. There’s no need to clarify or deny anything. He is a very good human being, and I am very fortunate to be around him at this point in my life." After watching the trailer of Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor’s dad, Rishi Kapoor said, “The way Rajkumar Hirani has presented Ranbir is the biggest superb thing, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on (wife) Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt. You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod (Chopra) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.”
Sanju’s trailer gave us a glimpse of other characters as well including Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal (as his best friend), Paresh Rawal (as his father) and Manisha Koirala (as his mother).
