Parenthood comes with its own share of ups and downs, and the loving couples try their best to share their responsibilities after the arrival of their babies.
Bollywood's celebrity couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to hop on to a new chapter of their lives, i.e., parenthood. The couple is currently on cloud nine as they are going to be parents for the first time in their life and are eagerly waiting for the arrival of their little one. While Alia and Ranbir's fans are excited to see them as parents, the Kapoor-Bhatt clan is counting the days to hold the baby in their arms.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, it is stated that Ranbir Kapoor would soon take a break from work and become a stay-at-home father after the arrival of his and Alia's baby. He doesn't want his wife, Alia to sacrifice her dream,s and he is willing to take paternity leave while Alia would join the film industry as soon as she would recover. The report further added that Ranbir wants his kids to have a close bond with him so he would take some time off to build a relationship with them.
Soon the reports about Ranbir Kapoor taking a paternity break spread on the internet like wildfire. While a section of netizens lauded the actor for his decision, some others criticised him for the same. They flooded social media to troll the actor for his decision to become a stay-at-home father. While one user wrote, "Arey waah kya baat hai.... ab bacha ye sambhalega or Alia madam kaam ko jayegi", another one penned, "To be honest Ranbir Kapoor is not as passionate as aliabhatt and ranveer singh, he has become dull, less focused." During an interaction at the Forbes India Tycoon of Tomorrow event, Alia Bhatt had opened up about embracing motherhood for the first time in her life. Talking about Ranbir's excitement for the baby's arrival, Alia mentioned that he's very happy to share the responsibilities. She added that her doting hubby wanted her to go to work as soon as she deliver the baby as he didn't want her fans to complain. Reflecting on the same, the mommy-to-be had said:
"And Ranbir is very happy, he has already been like 'baby you work from this month onwards, I will take time off so you can go to work. I can come back and then you can take time off then we just keep taking time off.' He is very happy to share that responsibility. And he in fact recently said in an interview that 'I think I have this very big responsibility on my head and that is to send Alia back to work because the fans would really complain and hold me responsible if I don't do my bit as a parent as well.'"
On the work front, Alia and Ranbir were last seen together in the film, Brahmastra.
