Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleBollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been making headlines for his upcoming project, Ramayana. Many are eagerly awaiting the film's release in theatres to see Ranbir portray the role of 'Lord Ram'. It is worth mentioning that people have been divided on seeing Ranbir portray the role, and many claimed that he is not 'their Ram' as they refuse to accept the actor in the look of a Hindu God.
Ranbir opened up about his thoughts on the backlash his film is getting even before its grand release
It seems like Ranbir is unaffected with the negative comments surrounding his upcoming film Ramayana. The actor added that he likes to stay away from the negative remarks and does not let them affect him. He also quoted Kishore Kumar's famous song, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, sharing his thoughts.

Ranbir shared his thoughts while addressing more than 18,000 students from across India. Talking about the trolling, the 44-year-old shared that people will always have an opinion on something or the other. But one should not allow their thoughts to disturb their peace of mind. He also clarified that he is unbothered by the trolling. He said:
"I think what is relevant today is also the beauty of trolling online. It goes back to the old song, ‘Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.’ I think that’s the great philosophy to actually follow. You don’t get bothered by what people are saying."
Ranbir added that what truly matters is who cares for you, your work, intention, kindness, and that's what should matter the most and not the murmurs that make you feel less. Ranbir shared the statement when his film was widely discussed on social media. From his looks to the film's other characters, he's being judged through a harsh lens.
The release of the song, Mangal Rang, composed by AR Rahman, sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal and penned by Kumar Vishwas, has not been well received. The song is about the wedding of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. Netizens are not happy with the qawwali-inspired elements in the song, which is used to depict one of the milestone moments of Lord Ram's extraordinary life.
People on social media slammed another song, Ravana Tandava, and stated that it lacked the intensity of the moment. Earlier, Ranbir faced backlash during a promotional event when he accidentally said, "Acchie ka ant", which means end of goodness, instead of saying, "Acchai ki jeet." The trolling reached a point where Ranbir apologised for his mistake during another event and attributed it to a slip of the tongue.

For the unversed, Ramayana is being made on a huge budget of Rs. 4,000 crore. In an interaction with Prakhar Gupta, Namit Malhotra revealed that when he decided to start the project, people thought he was a lunatic, as no Indian film had been made on such a level. He revealed that the budget for both parts of the film would be around USD 500 million. He said:
"When we set out to make this six or seven years ago, people thought I was a lunatic because no Indian film comes close to this scale. Put simply, the budget will be around $500 million for both parts combined, which is over Rs 4,000 crore."
