Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most celebrated actors of his generation. Besides this, he is also known for maintaining good friendships with many people in the industry. Amongst all, time and again, Ranbir's friendship with ace filmmaker, Karan Johar has often made it to the headlines. From the actor getting irked at the filmmaker's show, Koffee With Karan, to the duo making one-after-the-other hit films, Ranbir and Karan's friendship has seen everything.
Now, while scrolling through our social media feed, we stumbled upon a video from an upcoming event, the Filmfare Awards, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar. The video began with Karan constantly ranting about Ranbir's name by saying, "Ranbir hi kar sakta hai, Ranbir hi karega, Ranbir ko hi karna chahiye, Ranbir must help us.." During this time, Ranbir was seated in the audience and made faces full of irritation.

Soon, the actor took the microphone in his hand and shouted at Karan, repeating his dialogue from his last released film, Animal. He was heard saying, "Sunai de raha hai, behra nahi hu main." However, Ranbir's loud voice while delivering the dialogue completely shocked Karan.
As soon as the video was posted online, netizens rushed to the comment section to drop their reaction to Ranbir's stance of shouting at Karan. While one user wrote, "Does ranvir said it seriously or sarcastically?" another penned, "Fake Fake Fake." One more comment read as "How fake is your drama Yes."

Back in 2017, when Ranbir attended the AIB Podcast, he was asked whether he was tired of the show Koffee With Karan. To this, Ranbir affirmingly mentioned that he was forced to join season 5 (2017) and revealed how he clearly said to Karan that he had no further interest in going there after that. Ranbir also mentioned that even his ADHM co-star, Anushka Sharma, was on the verge of protesting and bringing the whole industry together with him to protest against the show. He mentioned that, from their perspective, the show is only unfair. Talking about the backlash the actors have received for the revelations they make on the show, Ranbir said:
"I am. I was forced this season. I told him ‘I don’t wanna come’ and me and Anushka (Sharma) were actually going to protest and bring the entire film industry together because it’s not fair. He is making money out of us. We come and we get screwed through the year. And it’s not right."

On the other hand, Karan Johar, who is known for launching star kids in Bollywood, once shared his admiration for Ranbir. KJo revealed that, unlike other actors, Ranbir does not have different managing teams or a public relations person to manage or handle his professional life. During an interview with Mid-Day in September 2023, Karan was asked by the host to share the difference between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, during which he spoke in detail about the Animal actor's professionalism and lauded the actor. He said:
“He does one film at a time; he handles his own dates. There is no PR, there is no manager, there is nobody around him. He is on his own. You ask him for dates, he opens his phone, he has all his own dates, he knows exactly which plans he's doing, he knows his schedule, he knows his days off, he knows his holidays.”
