On April 13, 2022, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's pre-wedding festivities had kickstarted with a special puja for the late actor, Rishi Kapoor. The groom-to-be's mother, Neetu Kapoor and his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, were arriving at his house, 'Vastu'. In the pictures, while Neetu had looked gorgeous in a green-hued suit with white-coloured thread work all over it, Riddhima had stunned in an olive green-hued silk suit. The saasu ma-to-be had won our hearts as she had acknowledged the paps by joining her hands.

Earlier, a report in India Today had stated that Ranbir Kapoor has got a custom-made wedding ring for his ladylove, Alia Bhatt with a special connection to number 8. Ranbir and Alia's obsession with the number 8 is not unknown to anyone, and this time, the doting boyfriend has got a wedding band for his ladylove with 8 diamonds encrusted on it. The report had also revealed that Ranbir had customised the wedding ring from the international brand, Van Cleef and Arpels.

On April 13, 2022, Alia and Ranbir's close friend and director, Ayan Mukerji had dedicated the first song, Kesariya, of the movie, Brahmastra as a gift for the soon-to-be-married couple, Ranbir and Alia. Along with it, Ayan had penned an emotional note for Ranbir and Alia as they are all set to start their happily-ever-after journey with each other. His note could be read as:
"For Ranbir and For Alia! And… For this Sacred Journey they are going to embark on soon! Ranbir and Alia… my closest and dearest people in this world… my happy place, and my safe place… who have added everything to my life… and given themselves completely and selflessly to our movie…!"
