While, in 2020, we had not spotted many big Diwali parties, given the situation of COVID-19, this year, we have seen quite a lot of gala parties in the houses of our B-Town celebrities.
In 2020, most of the megastars celebrated Diwali at home with their loved ones and didn't socialise much. But amidst all of the intimate parties, one that went viral was Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Diwali celebration. For the unversed, Bollywood actors, Ranbir and Alia had started dating each other back in 2018, and since then, they have been one of the most trending couples of B-Town.

To mark Diwali 2021, Alia Bhatt shared two posts on her IG handle. Alia's one post was all about the actress dazzling in a blue Sabyasachi lehenga with a candle and fairy lights in her hand. The other post featured a love-filled picture with her beau, Ranbir Kapoor, who was wearing a black kurta. The two were lost in each other's eyes and wrapped their arms around one another. Sharing the mushy picture with her boyfriend, Alia wrote, ''& some love… Happy Diwali.”
As soon as Alia shared the pictures, the internet went berserk with the duo's PDA. Fans couldn't help but express their disbelief that Alia actually shared this mushy picture with Ranbir. One user wrote, ''Alexa play Khullam Khulla Pyar Karenge Hum Dono LOVE IT.'' Another fan commented, ''OMFG IS THIS FOR REALL!?? DID YOU ACTUALLY POST THIS???''
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor also graced a kali puja pandal in North Bombay on Diwali and were accompanied by the duo's director-friend, Ayan Mukherjee. The couple will be next seen in the director's next movie, Brahmastra. No wonder, Alia and Ranbir looked absolutely stunning and won our hearts with their mushiness.
Last year, Ranbir and Alia had a very private and low-key Diwali celebration. As per the media reports, they had celebrated the festival of lights at Alia's residence. As the couple was busy shooting and dubbing for their upcoming film, Brahmastra, they had opted for a low-key party with their families. But they had ensured that they had a good time on the special evening.

The head staff, who had arranged the romantic dinner for the lovebirds had taken to their Instagram handle to share a happy picture with the couple. The duo had kept their look subtle yet gorgeous. While the actor had donned a maroon kurta with thread work, the actress had looked stunning in a plain simple black kurta with a detailed embroidered hemline. She had completed her look with a pair of big danglers and had kept her hair in a tight bun.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen together in the movie, Brahmastra, for the first time.
