And this is not all, Alia had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a solo picture of her and in the caption had thanked everyone including her ‘special one’. Her caption could be read as “And last but not the least MY special one - the one that makes my heart smile and eyes shine. And shine I will.. Because there's soo much to do in life.. And this is just the beginning.” And ever since the duo had made their relationship official, speculations and rumours about their wedding have been in the spotlight.
From their fake wedding card to the rumours about the duo finalising their wedding ensembles, gossipmongers are always keen to grab a piece of news about their much-awaited wedding. And if the latest report is to be believed, Alia and Ranbir are all set to tie the knot next year in Kashmir. As per a Pinkvilla report, a source revealed that wedding is on the cards for Ranbir and Alia next year and the two are believed to take a month off from their busy schedules and plan their big day. The source also revealed that the couple will have a destination wedding and Alia wishes to tie the knot with Ranbir in Kashmir as she fell in love with the place while shooting for her film, Raazi.
In October 2019, a fake wedding card of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt went viral on the internet. An invitation card of Ranbir and Alia’s 2020 engagement had taken the social media by storm. The card could be read as “Mrs. Neetu & Mr. Rishi Kapoor cordially invite you for the Sagan Ceremony of their son Ranbir with Aliya (D/o Mrs. Soni & Mr. Mukesh Bhatt on Wednesday, 22th January, 2020 5:00 pm onwards. Venue: Umaid Bhavan Palace Circuit House Rd, Jodhpur, Rajasthan – 342006." But before anything could be confirmed, it was revealed that the card was fake.
On October 24, 2019, we had shared a report by iDiva which had stated that the duo will be getting married in just two weeks in France. Alia, who was returning back from London, was spotted at the Mumbai airport and had reacted on her wedding rumours. This is not the first time that rumours about their wedding date have been filling the gossip columns. An earlier report in iDiva had it that Ranbir and Alia are getting hitched in France in November and their wedding ensemble would be curated by the ace designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. As per the report, the duo has been busy with the ace designer, Sabyasachi for their wedding ensembles. The report had further shared details about the mouthwatering and scrumptious delicacies and had stated that they have approached Chef Ritu Dalmia, who also had organised the food delicacies and catering services at Virat-Anushka's grand wedding in Italy for Ralia's wedding too.
In an interview with the Filmfare, Alia Bhatt had shared Ranbir Kapoor’s reaction to all the rumours and what she feels about them. She had said, “About getting married? Well, that’s the only thing that’s irritating right now. Every morning I wake up to the news that I’m getting married. I tell him what the hell. I guess he’s used to it." She had also answered the question about handling a difficult person like Ranbir and had stated, “He’s not difficult. He’s a gem. When I met him for the first time in my life. Again, let me tell you he’s not difficult. He’s a supremely simple person. He’s such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, like everything. He’s way better a person than I am."
In an interview with The Times of India, Alia Bhatt had talked about the positive advice Ranbir Kapoor has given her and how they are in a great space right now. In her own words, “No. It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now. The best part is that we’re two individuals who are living our own professional lives in its full form right now. He’s shooting continuously. So am I. It’s not a situation where you’ll see us constantly together. That’s the true mark of a comfortable relationship. Nazar na lage. He’s not difficult. He’s a gem. But he’s had a troubled past… How does it matter? It’s part of someone’s life.
