Ram Kapoor Addresses Shreya Kalra Kissing Row, Says He Has Always Been A 'Physical Person'

Ram Kapoor has hogged the limelight after he planted a kiss on Shreya Kalra's cheek in the reality show, Lock Upp 2. Shreya had raised concerns over his actions, and Ram Kapoor opened up about the controversy. He revealed that he had spoken with Shreya personally and said he would not change his personality in response to the criticisms related to the incident.

Ram Kapoor opened up about the kiss controversy surrounding Shreya Kalra on the sets of Lock Upp Season 2. For the unversed, Shreya slammed Ram for kissing her on the cheek without any consent. The TV actor, in an interview with Nayandeep Rakshit, revealed that he has always been a ''physical person". In his words:

"Shreya had many chats with me where she said that ‘listen, I did not mean anything like that, and you are totally okay’. I have always been the way I have. I am a very physical person, and I’ve always been like that throughout my career. And I’m not going to change; I don’t give a shit about what gets taken out of context."

Ram Kapoor reveals that he does not care about what people think of him

Ram further shared that Shreya had told him she did not intend to suggest anything that might seem inappropriate. Responding to the criticism he received, Ram stated that he is very happy and proud that, over the 27 years he has spent in this industry, not a single woman he has worked with has ever made a complaint. He does not care what people say, and he will continue to be himself. In the words of Ram:

"These little things that keep happening, these controversies where things are taken out of context, I'm not going to waste my time on them because life moves too fast. As I said, I have so much positivity in my life; I focus on that, and these are just unnecessary nonsense and a waste of time."

Ram Kapoor also spoke about his equation with Shreya Kalra and stated that he has nothing against her. He thinks that Shreya is a lovely girl from a good family. But she is a kid who needs to grow up in terms of controlling her temper and learning how to cool down a bit. Ram further added:

"That comes with time. She will learn whatever she has to learn. Whatever hot and cold was happening was happening from her end. I was the same with her. Whenever she would open up to me, I was available and we could make good progress. There were times I used to take a decision that she wouldn't like and she would burst. I would say, okay, that's your problem."

The controversy on the sets of Lock Upp 2 surfaced when Shreya opened up about Ram kissing her on the cheek. This was after she had won a task, and Ram was saved that way for an entire week in the Lock Upp house.

Shreya discussed the kissing incident with Shivangi Joshi and stated that when Shivangi was doing her task, Ram Kapoor came very close to her. So Harshad said, ''Don't come so close''. As soon as he moved, he said, "Sorry. What sorry? That man comes and spits (when he speaks). Say it to his face. He literally spits. He literally spits all over the place."

Shreya also spoke about maintaining personal boundaries and claimed that Ram had made her feel uncomfortable. Shreya told Shilpa that her father never kissed her like Ram did and said, ''And this time, if he tries to kiss me, I'm gonna hold his mouth and be like, 'My father doesn't kiss me this much; don't kiss me now.' I saved you three times, and you don't even lift a finger. I should be ashamed of his seniority. I spit on these seniors."
