After the fun-filled wedding ceremonies comes the epilogue i.e., the honeymoon and the newly-married couple, Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa Sen are making the most of it. Rajeev and Charu had tied the knot on June 16, 2019, and after spending a few days with their families, the lovebirds have headed off for a pre-honeymoon to Thailand. It was on June 16, 2019, when Charu Asopa (now Sen) had entered the bond of holy matrimony with the love of her life, Rajeev Sen. But Rajeev and Charu had joined the bandwagon of Mister and Missus with the court marriage registration, a week before their lavish wedding. Charu and Rajeev had gotten married as per dual wedding customs- a Rajasthani and a Bengali wedding in Goa. Even though we have still not gotten over the glimpses from their fairy tale wedding, the following one is our favourite from the lot wherein the Sen family including Shubeer Sen and Subhra Sen (Sushmita Sen and Rajeev Sen's parents), Sushmita Sen, Renee and Alisah (Sushmita Sen's kids) had posed for a happy family picture with the newlyweds.
A few days back, Charu Asopa Sen and Rajeev Sen had headed off on their mini-getaway to Koh Lanta, Thailand. For the airport look, Rajeev and Charu had twinned in black outfits. And soon began an array of romantic pictures from their pre-honeymoon. Just a while back, Rajeev took to his Instagram handle and gave a sneak peek of their picturesque resort wherein the newlyweds can be seen chilling and relaxing together in a pool. Recently, Charu Asopa Sen and Rajeev Sen were subjected to trolls when they had posted pictures from Thailand zoo, posing with a sedated tiger. The pictures caught animal lovers' ire on social media who criticised them for subjecting the animal to cruelty. In one of the pictures, the tiger’s leg was wrapped around Charu's neck as she pouted for the camera. While a user wrote, “Celebrities promoting this. Hope they would research on the cruelty netted every single day on these tigers kept in captivity”, the other one commented, "These poor, magnificent animals are drugged and caged and their claws and teeth are removed and kept in such pathetic conditions. And not just that, the flashes from cameras spoils their vision. They are wild animals and they need to live and thrive in the wild, they are not playpets. My heart breaks for these majestic animals. Charu Asopa Sen and Rajeev Sen will jet off to an exotic European honeymoon in mid-July. But prior to their Europe travel, Charu and Rajeev have taken some time off from their hectic schedules and travelled to Thailand. In an interview sometime back, Rajeev had said, “We had a beautiful wedding and enjoyed all the functions. About our honeymoon, we have a lot of work commitments before we fly out in mid-July. But before that, we will take a short break and visit the Far East, come back and complete our shoots. We can’t reveal much about the Europe vacation.”
Earlier when Charu Asopa had spoken to the Bombay Times about her wedding with Rajeev Sen, she was sure that her then to-be hubby would plan something special for their honeymoon. Commenting on their honeymoon plans, Charu was then quoted as saying, "Rajeev will decide on that. I am sure that he will surprise me."
Charu Asopa Sen and Rajeev Sen surely look like a match made straight out of heaven. In an interview with the Bombay Times, revealing if it was love at first sight for them, Charu had stated, "After our first meeting, we had decided to catch up again over coffee, but I left for my hometown, Bikaner. I was on a much-needed break after my show, Jiji Maa, ended. In fact, I hadn’t decided when to return. However, as luck would have it, I was offered Karn Sangini and had to report on the set the very next day. I texted Rajeev from the set and told him that we could meet for coffee. I had assumed that the meeting would end in half an hour. However, we went on talking for hours until I told him that I had to leave as I had an early call time the next day. We started chatting, spending time together and the rest, as they say, is history.
