Shilpa Shetty got married to the love of her life, Raj Kundra, in 2009. The duo has two adorable kids, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra. For the unversed, it was in 2021 when Shilpa Shetty's whole world shattered as her darling hubby got involved in an adult film racket case. Raj was arrested, and he had spent 63 days in Arthur Road jail. However, it was being that Raj's Arthur Road jail case would be featured as a film soon, and the businessman would make his acting debut with the same. Amid all these, a new report claiming something different surfaced online.
A recent report by the Hindustan Times claimed that Raj Kundra will not act in his biopic. A source close to the development team for the project revealed that Raj's biopic will show the businessman's 63-day tenure in the Arthur Road Jail. The source added that Raj may make a cameo in the movie, but he will not act in the lead role. The source also mentioned that as Shilpa's hubby doesn't have any acting skills, he would not try his hands in the same. The source can be quoted as saying:
"The project is not based on the controversy or what led to it. The project will trace his time in Arthur Road Jail, and the interactions he had inside the prison, with focus on his takeaway. However, it is untrue that he will star in the film. He might make a special appearance in the film, but will not act as a lead. He knows he doesn’t have the acting skills to pull something off, and will not even try it. These are just mere speculations."

As per the source, Raj Kundra will be involved in the project from production to script to shooting, as it will be a story of his life. Talking about the cast and director of the same project, the source mentioned that nothing about the same has been fixed yet. The source further added that Munawar Faruqui can be seen in the movie but not in the lead role. The source claimed:
"But Kundra will be involved in all aspects of the project from production to script to shooting. That’s because it is about his life. The makers have not yet finalised the cast or the director. But it is being believed that Munawar Faruqui might star in the film, however, not as a lead."
Yet another source close to Raj Kundra told the portal that the latter is not least interested in acting. Sharing more details about the same, the source stated that Raj wears a mask in public, so how can people assume that he will star in a movie? The source stated:
"He wears masks in public, and is not interested in acting. He was wearing a mask during Ganpati celebrations. Why are people assuming he will star in the film? He is not interested in acting. He is interested in telling his story."
Earlier, a source told Pinkvilla that Raj Kundra's Arthur jail incident would soon be featured on the silver screens. The source also added that the movie is in the final stage and Raj would show his experience during his tenure in the jail. The source mentioned that although the name of the director had been kept under wraps, Raj himself would be involved in the movie.

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Shilpa Shetty reacted to the ongoing buzz about Raj's biopic. When asked about the same, Shilpa chose not to comment on this and stated that she didn't have a role in commenting on this topic.
