Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar would have never thought that their casual conversation on social media would turn into a lifetime of commitment. For the unversed, Rahul and Disha had interacted on Instagram for the first time as she had complimented him for his song, and he texted her back. Soon, a friendship blossomed between the two.
When Rahul had entered the reality show Bigg Boss 14, he and Disha were good friends. During his stint in the show, the second runner-up on Indian Idol 1, Rahul Vaidya expressed his love for Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara fame, Disha Parmar on national television. On Valentine’s Day, Disha had visited Rahul inside the BB house and had accepted his marriage proposal.

Rahul and Disha are all set to tie the knot on July 16, 2021, and their fans are rejoicing in happiness. Ahead of their much-awaited wedding, Rahul talked about their honeymoon plans. In an interview with The Times Of India, the singer revealed, “I actually didn’t get any time to plan anything. But I guess, that’s also a lot of fun." the couple is yet to zero in on their honeymoon destination. I think we will go to Lonavla for our honeymoon (laughs!) because you can’t travel anywhere else owing to the pandemic.”
Rahul also stated that before the honeymoon, they want to relax for some time. In his words, “On a serious note, we are planning to go somewhere… let’s see. We will have to figure whether flights are operational and we get the visa. We haven’t decided on a place yet, because after the wedding we just want to relax for a week and not do anything.”
Sharing why they cannot rush for a honeymoon, Rahul retorted, “Also, I have some prior commitments to finish first post the wedding. That’s why we are not rushing into it. We will probably go for our honeymoon sometime later. However, when we do, we will go to some place in Europe, say Switzerland or Austria.”

On July 6, 2021, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar had released an official statement on their respective social media handles to announce their wedding. It could be read as "With the blessings of our families, we are delighted to share this special moment with you all. We are elated to announce that our wedding is set to take place on 16th of July, 2021. We seek your love and blessings as we begin this new chapter of love and togetherness. Love, Disha and Rahul. #TheDisHulWedding."
A few days back, Bhavna Jasra, known for curating hand and feet castings had shared a video of the couple getting their hand’s impression. In the video, we could see Rahul singing, Tere haath mein mera haath ho for his fiancee, Disha. Bhavna had captioned the video as "And he sings a song for her."
