Rahul Vaidya had proposed to Disha Parmar for marriage on national television on her birthday, during his stay in the Bigg Boss 14 house. Wearing a ‘Marry Me’ t-shirt, Rahul had asked Disha, “Will you marry me?” and the answer to it, he had received on Valentine’s Day 2021. Disha Parmar had entered the Bigg Boss 14 house, wearing a red saree and had said, “Yes, I will marry you!”. Now, after all the wait, Rahul and Disha are all set to tie the knot.
On July 6, 2021, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar had officially announced their wedding on their respective social media handles with a statement. It could be read as "With the blessings of our families, we are delighted to share this special moment with you all. We are elated to announce that our wedding is set to take place on 16th of July, 2021. We seek your love and blessings as we begin this new chapter of love and togetherness. Love, Disha and Rahul. #TheDisHulWedding."

As the world is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, the concept of big-fat Indian weddings has been affected severely. While many celebrities have decided to postpone their wedding, many decided to opt for an intimate wedding ceremony. Well, Rahul Vaidya belongs to the latter category as he's happy because of COVID-19 as it acted as a blessing for his wedding with Disha. In a conversation with Tellychakkar, Rahul said, “I always wanted an intimate wedding and Covid–19 acted as a blessing.”
On July 1, 2021, Rahul Vaidya had shared pictures of his girlfriend, Disha Parmar, on his Instagram handle. In the pictures, Disha was seen flaunting the t-shirt, wearing which Rahul had proposed to her for wedding inside the Bigg Boss 14 house. In the caption, Rahul had mentioned his plans to get the t-shirt framed. He had written, "A T-shirt I can never ever forget .. had proposed to my girl using this. Gonna frame it. @dishaparmar."

In an interview with The Times Of India, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar had shared that they will have a close-knit wedding in the presence of their close family and friends. Rahul had said, “Disha and I have always been in favour of a close-knit wedding. We want our loved ones to attend our big day and bless us. The marriage will be held according to the Vedic rituals and we will also have Gurbani Shabad sung at the ceremony.”
Disha Parmar had also added that her idea of an ideal wedding ceremony is an intimate affair. She had stated that for her, marriage is a union of two people and their respective families with their dear ones in attendance and she has always wished for a simple ceremony. Disha had also mentioned that she is glad that her wedding is going to be exactly what she has wanted.
