Radhika Apte's Leaked Intimate Clip Was Sent To Her Mom, 'Lust Stories 3' Star Had 'Nothing To Hide'

Recently, more than a decade after the 2015 controversy, Radhika opened up about the emotional toll of the incident. She revealed it became difficult for her to even step out of her house. Her concerns heightened when her mother received the video clip from someone and told the actress about it.

Radhika Apte generated a significant buzz when an intimate scene of hers from Leena Yadav's short film Parched was leaked online. The scene featuring her and her co-star, Adil Hussain, circulated widely on WhatsApp and social media. Notably, the clip was shared online without the actress' consent. She had no idea that the video was all over the internet and had even reached her mother, Jayashree Charudutta Apte.
Radhika recalled the same during her 2018 appearance on the talk show Feet Up with the Stars, hosted by celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania. She stated that someone sent her leaked clip to her mom, who then told her about it. The Lust Stories 3 star learned about the controversy only after her mom informed her about it. In her words:
"I first heard about it from my mum; somebody had sent it to her."
The second time Radhika Apte heard about it was from her driver. While discussing the 2015 incident after three years, she said it was easy for her to laugh and joke about it then. She added that her family isn't affected by such things, and she doesn't stress over her leaked clips either. She had moved past the controversy, and there was nothing she needed to hide anymore as everything was already out in the open. In her words:
"Now, there is nothing to hide; I can do anything, and people won't be able to make news out of it."
Although Radhika Apte made light-hearted comments about her leaked Parched scene during her talk show appearance, she wasn't that cool with it when the controversy first broke out. In a September 2026 conversation with India Today, Radhika revealed that she was scared for her life and "couldn't step out of the house for four days" when the clip went viral online. She felt like she was under threat and had no choice but to turn to her driver and spot boy and ask them to "protect" her.
