Television's cute couple, Kunal Verma's wife, Puja Banerjee celebrated her first Gangaur festival post her marriage, and her darling hubby clicked a picture-perfect moment of her with their baby boy. Last year, Puja and Kunal were all set to tie the knot on April 15, 2020, but the coronavirus outbreak in the nation and the lockdown that followed it, made them cancel all their ceremonies. But on the same day, Puja Banerjee had shared a throwback picture with Kunal and had announced the news of her registered marriage, which had happened a month-and-a-half ago.
The year 2020 was a life-changing one for the madly-in-love couple, Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma. The couple not only kick-started their 'happily ever after' but they had also hopped on their parenthood journey. It was on October 9, 2020, when Puja and Kunal were blessed with a baby boy. The then-newbie father, Kunal had shared a video to announce the arrival of his baby boy. Alongside it, he had written, “9-10-2020 Mother Earth got it’s one more child. Thanku is a very small word to express…WE 3 our humbled.. cant express its surreal”.
On April 15, 2021, Puja celebrated her first Gangaur festival. The festival is all about honouring Goddess Gauri, and married women celebrate it for the long life and good health of their husbands. Gana is another name for Shiva and Gangaur means the togetherness of Gauri and Shiva. Kunal shared a picture of his wife, Puja, dolled up for the festival. Alongside it, he wrote, "Happy gangor & Shubho nobho borsho to all" Check it out below:
On October 14, 2020, Puja had shared the first-ever family picture with her newborn baby from her hospital room. In the picture, we could see Puja donning a pink dress and holding her little boy in her arms while Kunal was seen huging his wife. However, she had not disclosed her baby's face in the picture. Alongside it, Puja had narrated her scary experience of staying away from her baby boy for three-days after his birth. Her note could be read as "Sharing my experience. Firstly, I want to thank each and every one of you who have showered their love and blessings on our lil one and sorry I could not reply all of you. This is been an extremely emotional journey for both of us as we have been through a lot in these last few days. So starting from day 1. On 9th of October 2020 we reached the hospital early morning after a sleepless night full of excitement, anxiety, happiness and all mixed emotions as we were about to see our baby for the 1st time and we were very much prepared to welcome him in this world."
Puja had further narrated her experience of going inside the operation theater without her hubby, Kunal, and getting operated. Her note could be read as "As per previous discussion with the doctors my husband was supposed to be inside the OT with me for my moral support during the surgery but due to this unfortunate corona situation he wasn't allowed and I had to go for it alone . I broke into tears as I was entering the OT cos honestly i was scared as it was my 1st time and I had no clue what's gonna happen to me but I had Hopes atleast if my I can hold my husband's hands I will be fine and that din happen, still I went ahead and only thing which was going on my mind was our baby and imagining what will he or she look like . The surgery started and within a few minutes I could hear his 1st cry but I could hardly see his face they took him to clean. I was thrilled and waiting to see him for 1st time then they showed me his face finally for few seconds and said I will get to see him in the recovery room."
The actress had also shared the worse part of the whole delivery process, when her son was diagnosed with breathlessness and was taken to NICU right after his birth. She had written, "Rest of the surgery got over and I kept waiting to see my baby properly but to my disappointment I came to know the baby was taken to NICU already cos he got some breathing issues. My heart skipped a beat and I din know how to react . Then our wait started , day 1 , day 2 day 3 we both were running out of patience as we both din even know how he looks cos we hardly saw him for a few seconds. Finally after a lot of prayers on day 4th he recovered and was given to us and we met him for the 1st time . Out heart and life is filled with joy and we both love him to our life but somehow I will never be able to forget those 3 nights without him. And I pray each and every child born should be safe and sound and may they never have to be away from their mothers."
Well, we wish Puja and Kunal, a happy Gangaur festival!
