Global icon, Priyanka Chopra has been revealing a lot of details from her personal life in the last few days. She has never been this candid. However, the actress recently appeared in Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast and split the beans about her past dating life. The actress revealed how she felt like a 'doormat' in her past relationship. The actress also talked about the beginning of her and Nick's relationship and why she found Nick's confidence 'sexy' in the recent chat show.
In a recent conversation, the actress revealed her previous relationships before she finally married Nick Jonas. The actress called herself a 'serial monogamist' and shared that she used to jump into relationships one after another with her co-stars without giving herself enough time. Talking about her past relationships, the actress stated that she used to act like a 'caretaker' in her past relationships and always wanted to ensure that her partner was 'propped up'. PeeCee shared she felt like a 'doormat' in her past relationships and used to make peace with it as all the women have been taught to glue the family together, and so did she. Elaborating on the same, Priyanka shared:
"It was so normalized in my brain for so long that I ended up giving the power in such a skewed way that I never stood up for myself. I literally would become like a doormat and I was like, okay, that’s fine because, you know, that’s what women have been told for such a long time that our role is to glue the family together or you’ve got to make your man feel comfortable when he comes back home."

Further, in the same conversation, Priyanka Chopra shared that she used to feel invisible in her past relationships. And then later she realised that she had to choose herself because she owed no one anything except her family and those who truly loved her. Talking about the same, the actress then shared:
"When you are in relationships where you stop recognizing who you are, you stop having your own identity, or you stop knowing what is it what you want for yourself, what your goals are, then you are invisible. And, I just started feeling invisible in my relationships."
Priyanka Chopra split the beans about the beginning of her and Nick's dating era. She said it was during her Hollywood debut with an American thriller drama series, Quantico, when one of her co-stars, Graham told her that she should meet Nick. Nick's brother, Kevin Jonas had also advised the same to him. The actress said she and Nick were in other relationships during that time. Talking about the same, Priyanka said that Quantico's co-stars used to hate her then-boyfriend and advised her to get out of such a relationship where PeeCee was always crying.

However, while talking about how Nick differed from them, who slid into her DMs, PeeCee said that the former directly asked her out by saying, "I've been told we should meet". Priyanka praised her hubby's confidence and named it 'cocky' and 'sexy'. However, the actress then revealed that she then took to Google to search Nick's name and was convinced to give the latter her number after being mesmerised by his video of his song, Close with Tove Lo. Priyanka shared:
"That body deserves at least a date. I landed on that video. I saw it, and I had to like open the window or something."
Talking about how she feels about Nick's past relationship, the actress shared that she doesn't care about things like when they were dating, they only talked about the future, not the past. For the unversed, Nick was reported to be dating famous singers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and more. However, reflecting on the same, Priyanka said:
"I don’t give a f*** who he’s dated... We’re talking about the future. I always say this, I don’t read my book backwards. I believe you go forward in your chapters."
