Joe and Sophie’s elopement made headlines and became everyone’s favourite snack time story. It was on May 1, 2019, when the couple decided to take the plunge and it all led to a 15-minute Christian ceremony at the Chapel L’Amour, a room in A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The bride, Sophie looked gorgeous in a white pantsuit with a traditional veil. On the other hand, groom, Joe donned a dashing grey suit.
And as we all know that no wedding is ever complete without a bridesmaid, guess who fitted the role at Joe and Sophie’s hush-hush ceremony? Well, yes, it was none other than Priyanka, but she wasn’t just a bridesmaid. In an interview with People magazine, Priyanka revealed, “I was a bridesmaid and a flower girl. She further shared, “All I say is it’s such a Joe and Sophie thing to do. I mean, trust them to pull something like this off. They’re so carefree, so fun, and this is so representative of who they are, you know? It was just so special to be there.”
Spilling more details about the wedding the entire world had eyed on, Priyanka had revealed in an interview with Access, “It was really funny. We were at the Billboards. Joe, I think, had this idea that he wanted to do this. We were at the Billboards and he had these little black cards that we all got. We were randomly inviting our friends, people that we met. We were like, ‘Alright, we’re going to set up this wedding now, we’re going to the chapel right from here, and please arrive.’ We had Diplo, Khalid, they were really sweet, they arrived. The 37-year-old actress had also talked about the couple’s new nickname, and had shared, “I call them Jophie. It’s like, trust them to do that. That is Jophie!” Priyanka further revealed the details of her cruise with husband, Nick after the wedding, “It was so funny! I mean, we were driving around this pink Hummer limo. I was outside the window. It was just epic. I had that long hair extension that I thought was going to fly out of the window. It was that kind of night - a Jophie kind of night.”
Looks like with Priyanka entering the Jonas family, their bond has gotten even stronger! But she has an even strongest bond with her sister-in-law, Sophie. In an interview with AOL, Joe Jonas had talked about the sisterly bond between Sophie and Priyanka. He had revealed how these two have a nickname for themselves and had stated, “They have this camaraderie now that they feel is not only friendship, but it's family. That's what every brother wants. You want to have that relationship where everyone looks out for one another.”
He had also added, “They've gotten really close, and it's really cool to see their friendship grow, They were friends before we even met.
