Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s pre-wedding festivities kickstarted with ‘Anna Seva’, wherein they feed 5100 people, three times a day from December 7-10, 2018. This was followed by a Swadesh Bazaar “an initiative of the Reliance Foundation, which will showcase “108 traditional Indian Crafts and art forms from all different regions of the country for the national and international guests”, thus keeping Indian art crafts alive. December 8-9 night witnessed Sandhya Maha Aarti with an after-party and a star-studded sangeet night, respectively. After the stupendous dance performances by Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan, Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, amongst others, we got a glimpse of the national-international sensation, Priyanka Chopra Jonas spreading her Desi Girl magic on-stage. PeeCee wore a gorgeous saree for Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s sangeet. By bringing the groom onto the stage, Isha, Priyanka and Anand decided to sway to the beats of the song, Desi Girl from PeeCee’s film, Dostana. Here’s the video:
For the after-party on December 8, 2018, a picture from the venue went viral on social media wherein the newly-wedded couple looked magical together in their desi outfits. Priyanka and Nick became each other’s forever on December 1-2, 2018, in Christian and Hindu ceremonies, respectively. On December 10, 2018, Nick Jonas shared a beautiful picture with Priyanka Chopra Jonas from their Christian wedding, wherein the newly-weds can be seen cutting their 18-foot wedding cake. Coming back to Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, the American superstar, Beyoncé too had performed on their sangeet and it was surely a power-packed performance. A Filmfare report revealed the reason which could be read as, “Isha is a big fan of American singer Beyoncé which is why Mukesh Ambani decided to have the pop star perform at the Sangeet ceremony. Both Anand and Isha are super excited to have the celebrated singer perform at their wedding. Some of Bollywood stars will also be doing a special performance at Isha’s cocktail in Udaipur.”
And do you know how much she has charged for her performance? A Gigwise.com report suggested that the American superstar was once paid $2 million (Rs 2 crore approximately), to perform at a private island for a New Year’s party.
