Priya Sachdev Posts Unseen Wedding Pictures With Sunjay Kapur, Reveals The Promise He Made To Her

Industrialist, Sunjay Kapur’s tragic death in June 2025 left a void in the lives of his family. But a few days after his death, his entire family engaged in a legal battle over his will and wealth. His wife, Priya Sachdev, became the centre of attention when Sunjay’s kids from his previous marriage to Karisma Kapoor claimed that Priya had forged the will. Ever since then, the family has been leading the headlines for their controversial feud.

Priya Sachdev posts unseen pictures from her wedding with Sunjay Kapur

April 13, 2026, marked Priya and Sunjay’s ninth wedding anniversary and to make it special, Priya went back to the memory lane and shared some unseen glimpses from their wedding ceremony. The intimate ceremony took place at Sunjay’s home, with their close family in attendance. Dressed in a white kurta pyjama, Sunjay looked handsome, whereas Priya complemented him in a rust-coloured salwar kameez.

Along with the pictures, Priya also gave a glimpse of Sunjay’s handwritten letter for her, which he penned on their seventh wedding anniversary. In the letter, Sunjay promised Priya that they would be together for seven lives. Along with the pictures, Priya penned:

“Happy Anniversary, J, Last year, on our 8th, we celebrated with your Dosco friends. You looked at me and said you wanted us to be together for the next 7 lifetimes. I’m holding you to that, J. On our 7th, you wrote the most beautiful note for me. The most precious gift. I have carried every word with me. I always will. You are not in my past, my love. You are waiting for me in my future. Our story isn’t over. Happy Anniversary, my forever. P.S. I love you. Always.”

Priya Sachdev’s hush-hush marriage with Sunjay Kapur

Priya Sachdev met Sunjay Kapur in 2012, and they got along instantly. They dated for five years before getting married in 2017 after Sunjay’s divorce from Karisma was finalised. Priya and Sunjay’s wedding was a hush-hush affair in the presence of close family and friends. In a throwback interview with The Economic Times, Priya revealed the reason for opting for an intimate marriage and said that both her and Sunjay’s previous weddings were big public affairs, and they didn’t want the same.

Sunjay Kapoor’s inheritance battle

It was on June 12, 2025, when Sunjay passed away in the UK while playing Polo. After Sunjay Kapur’s untimely death, his third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, was appointed as the non-executive director of the company, after which a family feud broke out. Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, claimed that she hasn't given her consent for anyone to be appointed as a member of the firm's board of directors. She went on to reveal that she has been living off mercy after her son's demise, and she has been denied access to all of her accounts. 

Sunjay’s kids, Samaira Kapur and Kiaan Kapur, from his first marriage with Karisma Kapoor, challenged their father’s will. They urged recognition as Class 1 legal heirs to Kapur's personal assets in the late businessman's Rs. 30,000 crore estate. They claimed that their step-mother, Priya Sachdev, forged the will after his sudden death in June 2025, in the United Kingdom.
